UP FOR BID IS A 1957 FORD FAIRLANE 2dr. CLUB SEDAN. THIS CAR WAS PULLED OUT OF A BARN OVER 15 YEARS AGO AND STORED IN A HEATED GARAGE EVER SINCE. HAS A CLEAN OHIO TITLE. THE CAR IS SOLID FOR THE MOST PART, BUT WILL NEED RESTORED. THE CAR DOES RUN AND HAS ONLY BEEN DRIVEN IN THE DRIVEWAY. HAS A 351 MODIFIED THAT WAS REDONE AND A C-6 TRANS, A 9" REAREND, OLD SCHOOL DRAGBARS AND OLD SCHOOL MICKEY THOMPSONS ON IT. THE FRONT FENDERS ARE FIBERGLASS (NOT SURE IF THESE WERE FROM THE FACTORY). HAVE PRETTY MUCH ALL OF THE TRIM IF NOT ALL OF IT AND HAVE THE BUMPERS (NEED REDONE). ALL THE GLASS IS GOOD EXCEPT THE DRIVERS DOOR. WE DON'T KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT THIS CAR AND JUST NEVER GOT THE TIME TO GET INVOLVED WITH IT. OUR LOSS IS YOUR GAIN. 2013 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]
Wed, 12 Dec 20122012 is almost in the books and automakers are spending December gearing up for the 2013 auto show season, which tips off next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Traditionally, the latter opens up with the announcement of the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards, and this year figures to be no different.
But up until this moment, we didn't know which six vehicles would be parked ahead of the stage as finalists, with executives and engineers waiting for the winners to be disclosed. Whittled down from October's "short list" of nominees (11 cars and 10 truck/utility vehicles), the finalists are as follows:

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes
Thu, 10 May 2012When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
