You are bidding on 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 sedan. It is equipped with a rebuilt 260 with 2 barrel carb. It has new allumion valve covers, air cleaner, cap, rotor, condenser, and points. The carb is a new remanufactured Fomoco 2 barrel. The automatic is a two speed that shifts well. It is also equipped with power steering. The brakes are new as well as 2 inch dual exhaust front to rear with turbo mufflers and chrome tips. The body is very nice with new paint a couple years ago. The paint is a good five footer but the lower front fender is popping a little (see pic). It is skyline blue with Wimbledon white accents. The stainless trim shines nice and the front and rear bumper does as well with a little pitting though. The wheels are new smoothies with newer 215/70/R14 tires. I also have the original wheels and dog dish caps on new 195/75R14 tires. The trunk is solid with new carpet. The interior has new upholstered front and rear seats they are vinyl with cloth inserts. The door panels are new as well. The headliner is white with one small quarter size hole on drivers side. The dash is very nice with gas and temp and speedo all functional. The lights and wipers work as well. There is a three gauge pod with oil, volts, and temp (only oil is hooked up) engine holds 50 lbs pressure. There's a sun super tach under the dash too. I added a removable console on the floor. All the glass is in tact but the windshield has a smear mark from the wipers. There are new rear air shocks and new bushings up front. This car runs and drives great. I've driven it 400 miles round trip a week ago with no problems. Once paid in full I will be willing to deliver it within 100 miles of 45701 zip code for free. Happy bidding!!!!

The 11 most expensive American cars ever
Tue, 12 Aug 2014Here's a Pro Tip for all you would-be classic car investors out there: buy Ferraris. With the Pebble Beach festivities kicking off this week, including any number high end car auctions, we thought it would be entertaining to compile a list of some to the most expensive cars ever sold with the bang of a gavel. Trouble is, once you get past the splendor of everyone's favorite Italian sports car maker, that list is pretty boring.
Ferrari dominates the all-time auction sales list; seven of the top ten most expensive cars sold wear the Cavallino Rampante badge, as well as more than half of the top fifty. Sure, a nearly $30-million Mercedes-Benz W196 racecar might be the new top dog as of last year, but it's even possible that Ferrari could take that title back in Monterey this weekend. Long story short: we think a list of the most expensive American cars ever sold at auction is a lot more entertaining to read. Hell, our list has a friggin' Batmobile on it, how can it go wrong?
Follow on below for the top ten cars that are red, white, blue and a whole lot of green.
2015 Ford Focus ST zooming toward Goodwood reveal [w/video]
Mon, 23 Jun 2014Ford has quite a party ready for the Goodwood Festival of Speed starting on June 27. Not only is the 2015 Mustang going to be driving in front of the European public for the first time, the Blue Oval is also unveiling its 2015 refresh for the Focus ST.
Official details about the latest Focus hot hatch are practically nonexistent at this point. Ford's teaser image shows narrower headlights, and the company says that the ST also benefits from the technical and quality improvements from the refreshed standard model, which likely means an even more Aston-Martin-like grille. However, any improvements for the power or handling are a mystery for now.
Ford will even give visitors to the festival the chance to drive the new ST - at least virtually. Gran Turismo 6 kiosks will be on hand with the hot hatch loaded up to race the Goodwood Hill Climb. There will also be real-time races between former Stig Ben Collins in the real ST challenging a player up the hill in the game.
Ford Escort Concept goes back to basics
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Here's the thing about China: The folks buying cars there have a very different set of standards than shoppers in many other markets around the globe. While we all drool over hot metal with bold designs, and while we appreciate automakers going an extra step to inject even their cheapest offerings with aggressive and interesting cues, that sort of sheetmetal sex appeal doesn't always sell in the People's Republic. Case in point is Jaguar, which may be designing a more traditional-looking version of its XJ for the Chinese market, or more to the point of this story, Ford currently sells the less-exciting, last-generation Focus compact in China right alongside the new one.
So consider this new Shanghai-bound C-segment concept a preview of what's to come for that more traditional, budget-minded, less-sexy market. More proof of this pudding: Ford's even calling this concept the Escort - a nod to the Blue Oval's compact car days of yore, and a name that stirs up thoughts of basic, affordable transportation rather than great driving dynamics or bold design. "Customers in China described seeking a vehicle that is stylish - but not one that is arrogant or pretentious," Ford states. And this new Escort concept previews a possibility of providing exactly that for this rapidly expanding automotive market.
What you're looking at, then, is one of the most simple Ford designs we've seen of late, though it still incorporates all of the automaker's latest DNA. The signature hexagonal grille is front and center, flanked by attractive LED headlamps and chrome-rimmed foglamp housings. The entire car's design focuses on clean, smooth surfaces, with one strong character line flowing from front to back just below the beltline. We will say that the car looks decidedly more premium from the rear view, where narrow, horizontal taillamps with an LED accent give the car added visual width. Bland as it may be, it's a handsome little concept, though fear what would likely happen if all of the conceptual details get dumbed down for a production model.
