1964 Ford Fairlane Post Thunderbolt Clone Rusty on 2040-cars
Oregon City, Oregon, United States
64 Fairlane Post completely stripped for your inspection. Rusty, needs complete floors, trunk and trunk lip (I have all the replacement metal for these areas) Right rear quarter will need to be replaced also. It had a sunroof but someone patched it and did a pretty good job, but it will need some messaging. The front radiator support and battery apron was replaced (very good job). Fenders, Doors, hood and trunk deck look good and useable. All glass is good except the windshield. Most all of the interior is there (bench seat frames only). No engine (260), no trans (auto). No bumpers. has most of the front and rear trim and light buckets, with one very nice tail light lens. No rear quarter trim or sail panel trim. Comes with extra head light buckets :). The rear rims are the wide 14" steelys. Good bones, comes with a bill of sale from a Washington State wrecking yard. I'm in Oregon and the local DMV said the numbers are still in the system and title is retrievable. I will work with you and your shipper.

2015 Ford Mustang fuel economy ratings leaked
Thu, 21 Aug 2014Thinking about buying a new Mustang, but want to know what kind of fuel economy it'll get? Well we have our first indication as the pony-car enthusiasts over at Mustang6G.com have gotten a hold of the Monroney window stickers for a few of the new 2015 Mustang models.
Although the V8 model is not among them, we can now see how the EPA has rated those models with a half dozen pistons or less. The Mustang EcoBoost with the turbo four and a manual transmission has been rated at 22 miles per gallon in the city and 31 on the highway. The V6 manual gets 17 city and 28 highway, while the V6 automatic squeezes out a bit more in the city at 19 mpg but carries the same 28 highway rating.
By way of comparison, the latest Chevy Camaro with the V6 and a stick shift gets the same 17/28 EPA rating as a similarly equipped new 'Stang, and the V6 automatic Camaro gets 18/27 (slightly behind the Ford, but if you opt for the Camaro 2LS with its V6, automatic and 2.92 rear axle ratio, you'll be looking at 19 and 30).
Court puts kibosh on apartheid lawsuit against Ford, Daimler
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Ford and Daimler have scored a major victory in a long-running lawsuit filed in US federal court by unnamed South African nationals. The suit alleges that both manufacturers and their subsidiaries sold their vehicles to the South African military, despite knowing that they'd be involved in violently putting down anti-apartheid protesters.
According to Reuters, South African plaintiffs filed the case under the 223-year-old Alien Torts Statute, a law which allows foreign nationals to file charges in US courts for perceived breaches of what was originally international law, but now more closely relates to violations of human rights.
And while the case - which also involves computer manufacturer IBM - has been tied up in federal courts for years, a recent case from the Supreme Court struck down a similar suit against Royal Dutch Petroleum (Shell), arguing that the ATS doesn't apply to corporations or to conduct if it occurred outside the US. In short, the law applies to individuals, but not corporations like Ford or Daimler. A US appeals court ruled that the conditions apply in this case, potentially drawing this long-running saga to a close, as the defendants will now be allowed to request that the case be dismissed in district court.
2015 Ford Mustang [w/videos]
Thu, 05 Dec 2013
It'd be unwise to bet against the sixth generation of this legendary nameplate.
The 2015 Ford Mustang is assuredly the most anticipated new vehicle of the year. The redesigned Pony Car has been the subject of frantic gossiping and covert spy photos covering everything from the way it looks to the tech it will include, its performance, mechanicals and a bevy of other aspects of Ford's performance icon.
