It has a few flaws in the paint but still shines. The flaws are a crack in the hood. 3 or 4 quarter sized rough spots. It has a dent in the rear bumper. It was like that when we bought it.It has 2 chips in the windsheild. We have full coverage ins. but don't want to risk damaging the chrome strip that surrounds the windshield to replace it. It has a few scratches here and there but nothing that will stop it from winning at a car show. Come on it's 47 years old. We've done nothing to it since we've owned it aside from oil changes and regular maintenance. Don't know how old the paint is. We've had it 8 yrs.and it's been garage kept."

We've owned it 8 years and it never leaves the garage anymore. It needs someone that will show it off like we use to .It's won many trophys and been to countless car shows. We have lost interest but  maybe you can pick up where we left off. This car deserves a good home and someone that will appreciate the true classic muscle car that it is. It has lots of  power and spunk. Quite a handfull. It has manual steering and brakes.Thats the way it was ordered from the factory.  It has a working AM radio. The interior is spotless. The doors and the trunk fit tight and the trunk still has the original spare and floor mat. It is going to need tires. It's done a few burnouts and the rear tires are wore a bit. LOL We've had lots of fun and MANY conversations with admirers about " I had one back in the day". If you have any reasonable questions please don't hesitate to call. I give you My better half John"s  # he can tell you more about every detail than I can. He is an over the road trucker so if you get his voicemail leave a message and # he will call you back when he can. 304.668.3442  Thanks, happy bidding and most of all good luck.

FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.

1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.

Ford Focus ST checks into Jay Leno's Garage

Mon, 23 Sep 2013

In a change of pace from the high-end vehicles that often appear in Jay Leno's Garage, Ford sends its hottest hatchback (in the US, at least), the 252-horsepower Focus ST, to be featured on Leno's show. Accompanying the five-door hatch is its chief engineer, Jamal Hameedi.
Riding on stylish 18-inch wheels with summer tires and with a spoiler that doubles as a lunch tray, Hameedi and Leno walk us through the finer points of what makes the ST special, which also includes bigger brakes, torque vectoring, a manual transmission and, of course, 252 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque from the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which is made possible by 21 psi of turbocharged boost.
Watch the video below to see what Leno thinks of the global Focus ST.
