1964 Falcon Futura 2 Door, 260 V8, Factory Top Loader 4 Speed on 2040-cars
Gig Harbor, Washington, United States
this is a nice builder - the factory 4 on the floor transmission is a rare option, factory V8, 2 door makes a valuable project car. the trunk lop deck and part of the trunk floor do have rust (i can provide OEM repair parts for these areas) and the core support has a small rust area by the battery box. The quarter panels are solid, the doors are solid as well... I have the windshield chrome top piece, corners and bottom piece but missing the left and right pillar trim. I also have the rain gutter trim and correct grill / headlight bezels. This is a factory 4 speed v8 (260) car. Looks like original paint with surface rust... Low rust in the important areas like the quarter panels and doors. Does have some rust in the typical areas - floor and trunk lip are the most noticable. [Please note in the pictures, I do have a parts car with a solid trunk floor and trunk lip/back deck area between the tail lights and trunk lid - i can cut and include these repair panels for an additional $300 with your purchase of this car]. This is a project car; I have been told that the 260 v8 was recently rebuilt and ran when it was parked 15 years ago - it was started a year ago as well. Also see pictures of the floor shifter and notice it is a top loader 4 speed. I do have the grill and most of the correct trim for the car.

Ford Q3 pretax profits drop to $1.18B
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Following positive third quarter financial results recently from General Motors, rival Ford took a tumble in Q3. The automaker posted pre-tax profits of $1.18 billion, compared to about $2.59 billion in Q3 2013, a drop of around 54 percent. Net income also suffered with $835 million made in the quarter, versus $1.272 billion last year, a decline of about 34 percent. The Blue Oval blamed the gloomy figures on three reasons in its release: "lower volume, higher warranty costs and adverse balance sheet exchange effects."
There were problems of one kind or another in practically every region. North America experienced higher warranty costs than expected, partially due to recalls. The sales volume for the quarter was 665,000 units, versus 725,000 in Q3 2013, and pre-tax results amounted to $1.41 billion versus $2.296 billion last year.
South America and Europe both posted worse pre-tax results than last year. On the bright side, European volume was up slightly to 321,000 vehicles, from 303,000 in Q3 2013. The Middle East and Africa also lost $15 million, but that was an improvement compared to the $25 million loss previously experienced in this region.
Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70
Sun, 20 Jul 2014We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.
More 2015 Ford Mustang pricing information leaks [UPDATE]
Tue, 20 May 2014The big news this morning was that the 2015 Ford Mustang would start at $24,425, including its destination pricing. The big news this afternoon is, well, bigger.
Mustang6G.com has come up with what it claims is pricing info for the entire Mustang line, rather than just the V6. That means we know all about the EcoBoost and GT prices now, which, when combined with the dealer order sheets we reported on last week, gives us our clearest look yet at how the Mustang can be outfitted (we're still a bit short on pricing info for some standalone options, like paint premiums and such).
The base EcoBoost starts at $25,995, while the GT rings up at $32,925.
