I AM SELLING MY 2001 FORD FOCUS. KEPT IN THE GARAGE. THE CAR HAS FOUR NEW TIRES THAT I BOUGHT IN MARCH 2013 AT TIRES PLUS IT WAS ALSO ALIGNED. THE TIRES ARE UNDER A 40,000 MILE WARRANTY. THE ALIGNMENT IS UNDER A 3 YEAR/36,000 MILE WARRANTY. I ALSO PUT NEW WINDSHIELD WIPERS, AND A WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR. I ALSO FIXED THE BRAKE BOOSTER, RADIATOR HOSE, AND REPLACED THE VMV VALVE . WORK WAS DONE AT DEALERSHIP AND IS UNDER WARRANTY. IN NOVEMBER 2012 A NEW BATTERY WAS PUT IN, AND A COOLANT CONTAINER, THE AIR FILTER, AND FUEL FILTER WAS WAS ALSO CHANGED AT THAT TIME. THE CAR HAS TWO NEW SEAT COVERS ON THE FRONT SEATS, A NEW STEERING WHEEL COVER, A CELL PHONE HOLDER, AND NEW FLOOR MATS THAT WAS ALSO PURCHASED IN MARCH 2013. I HAVE ALL THE PAPER WORK FOR THE WORK THAT WAS DONE. UNFORTUNATELY AFTER ALL THAT WORK WAS DONE THE CAR DEVELOPED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS WORK DONE ON THE MOTOR. THERE IS A KNOCKING NOISE WHEN THE CAR STARTS AND REVS. AS FAR AS I KNOW THE AC NEEDS TO BE RECHARGED, THE OIL PAN NEEDS TO BE RESEALED, AND A FRONT MOTOR MOUNT IS NEEDED. Ford F-150 Tremor to pace NASCAR Truck Series this weekend
Wed, 14 Aug 2013Ford's bro-tastic F-150 Tremor will be pacing this weekend's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Michigan International Speedway. The Tremor fills a gap in the Ford F-Series lineup that we imagine the NASCAR set have clamored for - a hot-rod pickup truck.
Where the F-150 Raptor is designed to go quick on anything, the Tremor and its 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 are designed to tackle the road. The 365-horsepower and 420-pound-foot EcoBoost is unchanged from the rest of the F-150 line, but it combines the shortest drive ratio with the lightest two-door body, making it a bit of hot rod.
Ford will be offering hot laps with Michigan native Brad Keselowski behind the wheel of the Tremor for fans that arrive in the Irish Hills on August 14. The main showing for the new pickup will be the August 17 race, though, when it'll lead the field at the start of the race and through cautions.
Focus ST diesel variant coming, just don't look for it here
Fri, 07 Mar 2014A few years back, Volkswagen made some waves when it announced the Golf GTD - a diesel-powered car that, aside from its ultra-efficient, ultra-torquey engine, was identical to the gas-powered GTI. That meant cosseting sport seats, larger wheels, sportier suspension, larger brakes and a body kit that made the GTD indistinguishable from the GTI, except for the three little letters on the back and in the grille.
Now, Ford is looking to replicate VW's success, with a diesel version of the Focus ST. According to Motor Trend, the diesel-powered ST will use a 2.0-liter, 182-horsepower four-cylinder. With an unspecified amount of torque on offer (we'd guess around 280 pound-feet), the diesel hot hatch should hit 62 miles per hour in about eight seconds.
The report, which originally comes from Auto Express, claims the ST Diesel was confirmed by Ford Chief Marketing Officer Mark Fields during this week's Geneva Motor Show. Not surprisingly, it doesn't appear there are any plans to bring a diesel-powered Focus of any kind to the US, let alone one that uses the suspension, steering and other items from the ST. Of course, if there's an official confirmation from Ford, we'll be sure to report on it.
Ford Fusion getting substantial refresh for 2017
Wed, 13 Aug 2014It's only been a couple of years since Ford rolled out the current Fusion, but if these spy shots are anything to go by, it's already planning what appears to be a substantial update for the mid-size sedan.
According to our paparazzi on the ground, the new Fusion is being prepared for launch late in 2016 or early 2017. Although heavily camouflaged to keep it from prying eyes such as ours, it appears that the updated Fusion will tone down the Aston Martin-style grille, ditch the small corner window with revised front side glass and tweak the vehicle's overall shape. But there's more to the new Fusion than a styling adjustment, and our spy photographers have caught a glimpse inside and taken us along.
Apparently the new Fusion is to get a completely overhauled interior with soft-touch surfaces and matte wood trim to make it seem more upscale. There's an all-new rotary gear selector (like you'd find on a Jaguar, for example) hinting at the implementation of a new nine-speed automatic transmission. The prototype appears to be packing the Microsoft SYNC system, suggesting that the new Blackberry QNX system isn't ready quite yet - though that doesn't necessarily mean it won't be ready by the time the new Fusion is.
