2012 Ford Fusion Steeda Performance Tuxedo Black Lowered on 2040-cars
Austin, Texas, United States
One owner 2012 Ford Fusion SEL 3.0 V6 in Tuxedo Black, rare color that
sparkles in sunlight. The car has black leather interior, tinted
windows, Steeda cold air intake, Steeda strut tower brace, SCT custom
tune by Steeda Performance, slotted/drilled brake rotors w/pads, new
Yokahoma tires, Eibach lowering springs. Personally done oil changes
using Royal Purple full synthetic oil and filter, air cabin filter is
new as well. The stock mufflers were replaced with Magnaflows with 4"
tips. The sound is low and powerful. All maintenance done personally
with records. Has blue tooth, cd player, XM radio, and Warranty.
All stock speakers replaced with 2 or 3 way speakers, and a 10" Rockford Fosgate subwoofer installed in trunk. The car handles great, and rides comfortable. The tuner really cleans up the shifting and really awakens the engine. The car is quick, handles like on rails, stops on a dime. The tuner can tune for 87 octane or 93. if you prefer, remove the tuner and run E85 since it's Flex fuel capable. **No Test Pilots** Have baby on the way. Title is through Ford. NADA/Blue book Value is 20k for a stock vehicle with this mileage, minus upgrades. On Jun-07-14 at 01:09:09 PDT, seller added the following information: ** On the vehicle history report, it shows "failed emissions" or something to that effect. The car is mechanically perfect and it was my mistake that it failed. I had removed the tune the night before to update the tuner firmware. The next day I took it for inspection and the computer was still in diag mode.. my mistake..I drove it 40 miles to get it out of that mode and took it back.. passed with flying colors with no changes. |

Your official Ford Transit specs are here, $29,565* to start
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Ford has released the full list of pricing and specs on its new Transit, the replacement for the long-lived E-Series cargo van. Prices are set to start at $29,565 and can increase rapidly from there, depending on length, engine and wheelbase, among other options.
Let's talk first about those new engines. The base is the familiar 3.7-liter, naturally aspirated V6. It boasts 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and can return up to 14 miles per gallon in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. This engine can also be adapted to run on LPG or compressed natural gas. Of course, there are better alternatives, for a price, the first of which is Ford's well-received, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. It packs 310 hp and a best-in-class 400 lb-ft of torque (available at just 2,500 rpm) while matching the naturally aspirated engine in both city and highway fuel economy.
Then, there's the diesel. With a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel mill at its disposal, the Transit generates 350 lb-ft between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm, along with 185 hp. This engine hasn't been rated by the EPA, although we'd be really, really surprised if it didn't handily best either of the gas-powered engines in fuel efficiency. A six-speed automatic is standard, regardless of engine.
Ford to hack $4k off price of Focus EV amid slow sales
Wed, 10 Jul 2013Between slow sales and a hefty price drop for its nearest rival, the Ford Focus Electric may be looking at a pretty substantial price cut. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford will drop the price of the all-electric by about $4,000 to $35,200 to be more competitive with the Nissan Leaf, which received a big price cut for 2013 down to $28,800.
Ford has already admitted to having low expectations for the car's sales and massive rebates were reported earlier in the year, but there is still no official word from Ford on this matter. The company's consumer site still lists the 2014 model's starting price as $39,200. In addition to the Leaf, the Focus Electric will also have to deal with the lower prices of smaller EVs including the Honda Fit EV, Fiat 500e and the Chevrolet Spark EV.
Ford Fusion and Fusion Hybrid nab five-star ratings from NHTSA
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Ford's Fusion and Fusion Hybrid have both received the highest five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The rating is a big upgrade for the Fusion, which was completely redesigned for 2013. The previous model fell one star short of the top rating, after scoring only three stars in the frontal crash test and four stars in the side crash test and rollover evaluations. The 2013 Fusion received four stars in side crash and rollover testing and a full five stars in the front crash test.
Test results for the 2013 Fusion and Fusion Hybrid were greatly improved at least in part due to Ford's Personal Safety System. The system utilizes smarter sensors to gather crash data and tailor the car's restraint systems to the occupants. Seatbelt usage and seat position are taken into account to ensure airbags deploy with less pressure for smaller drivers, more for larger drivers.
The 2013 Fusion twins also received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+ designation. Read the official press release below.
