This is a very cool old Ford Galaxy 500 Fastback. Very rare and desirable manual shift car. Easy to make a 4 speed high performance clone out of this car. 100730 original miles. 302 V-8 3 speed on the column. Power steering. All new manual brake system. A/C that is all there but needs a shot of freon? Heater core is by passed. Must have a leak? Like new Michelin tires. New battery and alternator. Car runs out great. Body is was almost totally rust free. Just 1 little area behind each rear wheel well that I can find. Just some very minor bubbling on right rear quarter panel. See pics of trunk and bottom of right side rear quarter. One recent enamel repaint. Paint is very nice looking but not a show quality base coat clear coat job. Very solid underside with no rust issues. Interior is all original and very nice. Chrome and stainless trim is all in nice original condition.

All in all, this a great running car that you can fly in and drive home. It drives and stops very solid. It gets lots of attention everywhere it goes and would make a great clone of a 4 speed 427 car.

This is not my car. Call Artie at 314-303-5521 for more information BEFORE YOU BID. He will give you honest answers to your questions. He is trusting me with selling his car and I don't want him to be bothered with BS. He cannot give out the reserve amount because I did not give him that amount.  He also cannot end the auction so please understand, accept, and respect this. We are going the let the auction run the full 10 days. High bidder that meets the reasonable reserve gets the car. If it does not sell, you can work out whatever deal you and Artie come up with directly with him.

NO TRADES

NO TRADES

NO TRADES

Now for the business end. I encourage you, or someone you trust or hire, to come by and check out the vehicle in person. Artie will refund your deposit if the vehicle does not match the above description. The vehicle does not leave here until all funds clear Arties bank. Bank and cashiers checks can take up to 10 business days. Bank transfers can take up to 2 days depending on what time of the day it is initiated on your end. Cash is great if picking it up in person. It is between you and Artie to work out the final payment method.

Call Artie at 314-303-5521 to get honest answers to all of your questions BEFORE YOU BID. Thanks, Dave

I do not respond to text messages

One more time, NO TRADES, Please do not ask. If you do not know, understand, and accept what "no trades" means, then you surely do not have a vehicle that I would be interested in.

I do not respond to low ball offers, text messages, or take offers over the phone. If you want to make an offer, please do so through ebay email. Include your name and contact info. If I feel you are a serious buyer, I will contact you back. If you do not hear back from me, then my vehicle must be out of your price range. Once my vehicle hits it's reserve price, I will not end the auction.

I do not give out my reserve price. Too many knuckleheads out there that like to play games with bidding just under the reserve amount with no intention of actually buying the vehicle. Makes it look like schill bidding is going on.

If you have a feed back rating less that 100% or less than 10 feedbacks, you might want to check with me before bidding. I will sometimes block or cancel bids if I get a bad feeling for the bidder. Non-paying winners are a real problem for sellers and it is hard to get seller fees refunded from Ebay in a timely manner, if at all.

For you new members, please don't bid unless you know and accept how ebay works and understand that you are legally committing to purchase if you bid. Not following through with a purchase after winning an auction for a new member can result in ebay canceling your membership.

Thanks to all, good luck with your bidding, and have a great day, Dave  314-732-592five

Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.
Hop below for the full press release from Ford on its latest investment.

Ford F-150 Tremor to pace NASCAR Truck Series this weekend

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Ford's bro-tastic F-150 Tremor will be pacing this weekend's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Michigan International Speedway. The Tremor fills a gap in the Ford F-Series lineup that we imagine the NASCAR set have clamored for - a hot-rod pickup truck.
Where the F-150 Raptor is designed to go quick on anything, the Tremor and its 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 are designed to tackle the road. The 365-horsepower and 420-pound-foot EcoBoost is unchanged from the rest of the F-150 line, but it combines the shortest drive ratio with the lightest two-door body, making it a bit of hot rod.
Ford will be offering hot laps with Michigan native Brad Keselowski behind the wheel of the Tremor for fans that arrive in the Irish Hills on August 14. The main showing for the new pickup will be the August 17 race, though, when it'll lead the field at the start of the race and through cautions.

Which is more fuel efficient, driving with a pickup's tailgate up or down?

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Thanks to the smoke wand in the wind tunnel, you can actually see the difference in our video.
Should you drive with your pickup truck's tailgate up or down? It's an age-old controversy that's divided drivers for decades. Traditionalists will swear you should leave the tailgate down. Makes sense, right? It would seem to let the air flow more cleanly over the body and through the bed. But there's also a school of thought that argues trucks are designed to look and operate in a specific manner, and modern design techniques can help channel the airflow properly. So don't mess with all of that: Leave the tailgate up.
