THIS IS A GREAT CAR. I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I COULD NOT FIND A 1962 CADDY CONVERTIBLE. I JUST FOUND ONE OF THOSE AND NOW NEED TO SELL THIS CAR. I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT A YEAR. CAR RUNDS GREAT. THE INTEREIOR IS A 9 OUT OF 10. IT HAS A CONVERTIBLE TOP THAT WORKS GREAT AND IS A POWER TOP. THE TOP ITSELF IS REALLY NICE. IT IS A STRONG RUNNING CAR AND IT HAS VERY GOOD BRAKES. IT DOES HAVE THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS THAT I THINK ARE RARE BUCKET SEATS CONSOLE POWER TOP FACTORY AC THE CARS BODY APPEARS TO BE VERY STRAIGHT. I WOULD TELL YOU THE PAINT JOB IS GOOD. IT DOES HAVE SOME CHIPS THAT HAVE BEEN TOUCHED UP. IT ALSO HAS ONE SPOT OF RUST ON DRIVERS SIDE REAR QUARTER PANEL. IT IS NOT A LARGE SPOT BUT I WANTED TO NOTE IT. I JUST HAD THE GENERATOR REBUILT ON THE CAR. THE CHROME IS NOT PERFECT BUT IT IS NICE. THE GAS GAUGE IS THE ONE THING I KNOW DOES NOT WORK. IT ALSO DOES HAVE A CHEAPER AFTERMARKET RADIO IN IT. OVER ALL IT IS A SOLID CAR. IT APPEARS TO BEA MATCHING NUMBERS CAR. THIS IS A NICE CAR AT A NICE PRICE. THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. 1969 Ford Talladega GPT Special is a SEMA showstopper
Thu, 07 Nov 2013Rad Rides by Troy has unleashed upon the SEMA crowds this custom 1969 Ford Torino Talladega GT Special, and it's a beauty. The car calls to mind the classic Holman Moody stock cars that circled NASCAR tracks in the late 1960's, driven by the likes of Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney and David Pearson, who won the Grand National title in both 1968 and '69 in a Ford Torino.
Even though it has plenty of stock-car influence, there's nothing retro about the car's design or powertrain, other than the fact that the engine is based on a Ford Boss 429 block. Fuel injection, aftermarket aluminum heads and a high-tech custom computer system combine to send 750 reliable ponies to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Brakes measure 14-inches all around, with six-piston Wilwood calipers up front and four-piston units out back.

Ford Fiesta ST orders off to strong start
Fri, 17 May 2013We at Autoblog love the new little Ford Fiesta ST, and apparently, folks in Europe are pretty impressed with it, as well. According to Ford, the automaker's European arm has already logged 3,000 orders for the new hot hatch since it hit dealerships this March. The US-spec car, which will only be available as a five-door, will go on sale in the United States this summer.
What's perhaps most interesting about the Fiesta ST ordering is that the majority of customers appear to be ordering high-spec cars. According to Ford data, 60 percent of customers have opted for the leather interior with Recaro buckets, and 90 percent have selected the upgraded 17-inch wheels (seen on our test car, above). Spirit Blue has been the most popular color, commanding 27 percent of all orders. As for the technology upgrades, 19 percent of customers have ponied up for the Sony stereo with navigation.
To recap, the Fiesta ST is offered with Ford's 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, putting out 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. We had an absolute blast flinging the hot Fiesta through the French Alps, and we can't wait for this sharp little hatch to make its way over to the States.
Ford to show special edition Raptor on April 9
Mon, 01 Apr 2013There are precious few details, but what we do know is that Ford will be revealing images of "appearance upgrades" for a special-edition 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor on April 9. The slideshow will happen during a Motor Press Guild luncheon at Ford's Design Center Showroom in Irvine, California.
Without photos or further details, we're left to wonder about the extent of these changes, but aren't expecting anything too significant given the venue. Ford is understood to be revealing a next-generation F-150 with a big weight loss - as much as 700 pounds - for 2014, though it isn't yet clear if that's the truck's model year or simply its on-sale year. For at least a couple of years, Ford forums have been suggesting changes will come with the 2014 Raptor, so there could still be a bigger surprise in store. Either way, we'll know what all this means in a little more than a week. The press release below has the official details, but for the moment, we'll content ourselves by ogling the 2013 model above.
