Up for auction is our 1964 Ford Custom. That's right, this is not a Galaxie, Its very rare and unusual "Custom". This car began life as a 6 cyl / three speed as many of the plane jane cars did. It has been converted into a 390 4-speed as a clone. If this was a factory built car it would be EXTREMLY rare and very valuable, but this car is very well done and is just for fun........And FUN it is! Every car event it goes to, it gets lots of attention and draws a crowd. The engine is a March of 64 block and is closely dated to the car. It is fully rebuilt with approximately 5,000 miles on it. Bored .030 with all new internals and fresh throughout. Holley carb and Edelbrock intake. The transmission is a T-10 out of a 63 406 car, with a Lakewood scatter shield and all new clutch components. The shifter is correct with the reverse lockout handle. New balanced driveline and the stock 9" rear differential. All rebuilt brakes. New dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers (sounds very cool and is not too loud). Wheel Vintiques 15x8 steelies made for the factory poverty caps with Goodyear radials. 235/60 in front and 255/60 in the rear, giving the car a old school yet, aggressive look. Under the hood is well detailed and sanitary. This car has been in Colorado its entire life and is absolutely rust free. The body is very straight and has never had floors or any rust repair. The inside of the trunk floor is untouched and looks new! The paint is the original color and is fresh. All of the glass is very nice, the side glass all glides up and down smoothly. All new weather strip and moldings. The bright work is all very nice and original, the anodized aluminum parts almost appear NOS. The bumpers are the stock steel bumpers that are powder coated silver for that lightweight look. The interior is all new (seats, headliner, door panels, carpet and dash paint) and smells like a new car. The seats were recovered using the very last of NOS material SMS had for a 64 Ford Custom. All gauges are restored and work properly. Erra correct wood wheel for that Nostalgic street racer look. Factory radio delete plate. This car is a freshly restored Ford that is very unique and different. Its always a great conversation piece and is a joy to drive. I have been with ebay since 2000 and have a 100% score. Im a honest seller who has nothing to hide, so please ask questions as I am sure I may have missed something. Thank you for viewing my 64 Custom. (303) 475-4544 |

First retail 2015 Ford Mustang headed to Barrett-Jackson
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Want to be the very first person to own a 2015 Ford Mustang GT? Here's what you'll need to do: be in Scottsdale, AZ on January 18 for the Barrett-Jackson auction and bring a very big checkbook. Having a passion for charity isn't a bad idea either.
Yes, the first 2015 Mustang to be sold to the public will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, with proceeds from the auction going to JDRF, the charity formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
"Ford Mustangs have always been among the most popular collector cars at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car events," said the president of Barrett-Jackson, Steve Davis. "While every collector wishes they had snapped up the first Mustang sold in 1964, this is an opportunity to realize that dream in a different way."
Ford reveals EcoBoost-powered Riley prototype for Daytona 24
Tue, 01 Oct 2013It's not the first time Ford has participated in the Daytona Prototype class as an engine supplier, but in revealing this new EcoBoost V6-powered Riley Technologies prototype for the new United SportsCar Championship, Ford is making a statement: "We want to show Ford EcoBoost's capabilities as an engine that provides both performance and fuel economy, on and off the track," says Jamie Allison, director of Ford Racing.
In addition to supplying the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, Ford had its production designer Garen Nicoghosian give the racecar brand-inspired design cues with support from Ford Racing chief aerodynamicist Bernie Marcus.
The car is scheduled to compete at next year's Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 25-26, but before that, Michael Shank Racing is working with Ford at another goal. Driving his Ford Thunderbird, NASCAR champion Bill Elliott set the track's top speed record at 210.364 miles per hour during a qualifying run for the Daytona 500 - way back in 1987 -- and Ford thinks it's about time for that record to fall. What better time the introduction of this new Ford-powered Daytona Prototype? Michael Shank Racing plans to use the twin-turbo V6-powered racer to beat Elliott's record, and it expects to begin prepping for the top-speed run on October 9. Scroll down for the full press release below on Ford's latest race effort.
2015 Ford Mustang spied on video for the first time
Thu, 20 Jun 2013Not many cars will continue to hold our rapt attention quite like the upcoming redesigned 2015 Ford Mustang, codenamed S550 internally. Earlier this month, we brought you the first spy photos of a next-gen Mustang prototype out testing, and even though expertly placed cladding concealed the pony car's new shape, we could tell that underneath was hiding an altogether new form inspired by the Evos Concept from 2011.
Today we give you some video of what looks to be the same Mustang prototype, which you can watch below, and while the budding director behind the camera wasn't able to capture much in the way of the engine's audio signature, we can see the car in motion for the first time and compare its relative size and shape to the S197 Mustang GT that's on its tail.
