A really nice survivor here , 1964 Ford galaxie 500 289 v8 auto w/ 89k orig miles....This is a turn key cruiser that only needs minor touches to be perfect , it was a southern car that was brought to the northeast only a couple years ago and it shows , the frame and under carriage on this car is super clean and straight..

The motor is the factory 289ci v8 and it purrs like a kitten , its soo quiet that if you didn't hear the exhaust note you couldn't tell it was running...The motor was rebuilt aprox a year ago and has right around 1000 miles on it since , i have the paper work and warranty for it in hand, just reach in turn the key and it fires instantly ..The engine bay is very clean and tidy looks like new , still retains the factory generator and it works good, along all the original components.. Anything that needed help was rebuilt when the motor was rebuilt..
The automatic transmission was also rebuilt at the same time and i have the paperwork for that too, it shifts like new and is like new....
The interior is clean and the seats are in excellent condition , rug is like new , dash is perfect . all interior lights work , all windows go up and down with ease , everything functions on this car , wipers , horn , directionals , Heater , am radio , Lights , hi and low beam, its like a time capsule and a pleasure to drive really..
The exterior body is also in great shape for the year , it don't have any major spots to speak of really , maybe a Very minor bubble here and there..All the stainless is there and in good shape ,has the original hub caps , along with really good tread on the tires..The trunk pan is great and has One Minor spot about the size of a dime and that is it , the rest of trunk pan is solid and nice not all rusted or punky at all..The frame rails and floors are super nice and clean , the frame looks it probably did in 1964 ,this is no rust bucket by any means...

The car runs , drives stops , and goes over the bumps great , its not a rattle box , has newer shocks , all brakes have been done, suspension is tight  and can be driven anywhere ..We just recently drove the car on a couple hundred mile trip without a hiccup..

Now the bad... The headliner needs some work there is a section that is bad..The bottoms of the front door panels need some material replaced or fixed ,and the rear bumper has a hole in it that has been fixed...

Like i said  the car came from down south and i have the Alabama plate still in the trunk along with a folder of paperwork ..

Great cruiser to take the family out for a night on the town and just cruise while you tinker with it...

The car is being sold as-is , I make no guarantee as to the condition of the vehicle , obviously if my description is way off i wont hold you to it..On that note i allow inspections, any time you would like to come see it just call me my number is at the bottom of the ad..By bidding on this car you agreeing that you are satisfied with the condition of the vehicle and agree to my terms..No warranty expressed or implied , either written or verbal.I try to be as honest about these cars as humanly possible but small things may slip my mind , if they come up i will update the ad...No major discrepancies have been left out i assure you...

Call or text Earl @ 413-212-2091 to come see the car or any other questions... Thanks and have a nice day...

Ford Australia launches Falcon GT F 351, last of its line [w/video]

Sun, 15 Jun 2014

It's always best to go out with a bang rather than a whimper, and Ford Performance Vehicles is doing just that in Australia with the Falcon GT F 351. It's the most powerful road car the Aussie performance brand has ever made with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 pumping out 471 horsepower (351 kilowatts) and 420 pound-feet of torque. It's joined by the FPV Pursuit Ute with the same powerplant tuned to 422 hp and 402 lb-ft. Sadly, the last F in this Falcon's name stands for Final.
The GT F 351 is a monumental way to go out, though. It harkens back to the old days of Aussie muscle Fords, and the 351kw output is meant to reference the classic Falcon GT and its 351-cubic-inch V8. In addition to the massive power, the F has the improved suspension from the R-Spec model and Brembo brake calipers.
FPV is building just 500 GT F sedans for Australia and 50 more for New Zealand, plus 120 Pursuit Utes. They feature a blacked-out hood and black stripes over the hood and sides, plus gloss black accents around the headlights, door handles and mirrors.

2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.

Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).
