Up for sale today is what I believe to be an ex police/govt official cruiser 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. No guarantees are made, however, as I am just reading what a vin decoder is telling me. I don't see any markings on the vehicle other than the 352 fender emblems, but it does still have the spotlight and according to the Vin decoder it used to have the 352 4 bbl 250hp version. Here is what I found it to say:

So, she's no beauty by far, but a great starting point for a resto or making into a rat rod cruiser. It is mostly there, missing the engine. I do have a few 352's available. One is from a 64 coupe, one from a 63 Country Sedan station wagon. Both are missing carbs. They are available for an extra $200 each or both for 375.

It's been raining quite a bit here lately, and I haven't been able to get the vehicle out from where it's sat for over the past 25 years. I saved the vehicle from hitting the scrap yard and hope to be able to let someone preserve it or use whatever she can provide. If you need any more pictures, I can try to get them for you, however I don't know how to get into the trunk without busting out the lock and possibly damaging the area surround it. The car itself is a 45 minute 1 way drive for me, so please give me a few days to get you more/specific pictures if you need them. The car has been parked for a long time, well over 20-25 years. I would assume it needs floors, but according to the pics they were there. The ground around it is too wet for me to jack up the car right now or get a wrecker in to tow it out. Hopefully it will quit raining and dry out enough soon and I can update with more. The vehicle has no title available as the man I bought it from told me he is "still looking" for it. The vehicle will be sold with a NC notarized bill of sale.

Local pickup only, but if you have a shipping company or need help loading I will be glad to assist in any way I can. Please message with any questions or requests. Thanks!

2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.

Ford auctioning off F-35-themed 2015 Mustang for charity

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

Ford's been a supporter of EAA AirVenture, a huge, annual air show held in Oshkosh, WI, for several years now, with one of its most notable contributions being a modified Ford Mustang, designed to look like one of America's great fighting aircraft. There was an SR-71 Mustang, based on the legendary spy plane, a Red Tails edition, which honored the ground-breaking Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, as well as Blue Angels and Thunderbird Mustangs, based on America's two great military aerial demonstration teams.
Each car is auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the EAA Young Eagles program, which introduces kids to the joy of flight. For the 2014 AirVenture, which runs from July 28 to August 3, the one-off pony car is based on the new-for-2015 Mustang, and America's latest fighting aircraft - the controversial F-35 Lightning II.
The unique Mustang sports titanium paint scheme, with both glossy and matte sections, as well as yellow-and-blue trim and decal elements inspired by CF-1, the first F-35 test plane. A carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser add some visual eye candy, while the interior boasts a set of Recaro seats. Ford also opted to fit unique wheels and a brawnier rear spoiler, to tie everything together.

Ford to build Explorer in Russia to meet demand [w/video]

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

The current Ford Explorer is sold in more than 64 countries, and this three-row vehicle continues to grow in popularity worldwide. To keep up with demand, Ford began producing the Explorer at Ford Sollers Elabuga Assembly Plant in Tatarstan, Russia, a joint venture facility. This partnership will build Russian-market Explorers only, and production of export vehicles not destined for Russian buyers will continue to be built at Ford's assembly plant in Chicago.
Before this plant went online, Ford would ship Explorers to Russia (and other regions around the world) as partially assembled knock-down units where final assembly would eventually take place. While there is no indication as to how many Explorers Ford Sollers will build for Russia, Ford did add that exports of the SUV were up 65 percent last year (from 2011) accounting for more than 24,000 units.
Scroll down for a press release about the Russian Explorer as well as a video (bad music and all) showing the SUV being produced in Tatarstan.
