1969 Ford Galaxie Ltd Country Sedan Station Wagon (like Country Squire) Fe 390bb on 2040-cars
South Windsor, Connecticut, United States
1969 Ford Country Sedan Stationwagon. 390 Big Block Ford FE
2bbl Motor and C6 Automatic Transmission. Runs strong and shifts smooth. The odometer shows 35,108. This
is the full size Ford based on the Galaxie or LTD platform. I have the full Marti Report on this car. It has A/C,
original factory AM-FM Stereo, Power Steering, Power Brakes with Disc in the
front, and Power Rear Tailgate Window. The A/C needs to be recharged and the
Power Rear Window is not working currently. The Tailgate is the dual opening
style. It opens to the side like a door, or down like a truck tailgate. This
particular car was not ordered with the 3rd Row Seat. The Country Sedan was the
model just below the Country Squire. The only difference being that the Country
Sedan did not have the 'Wood Panel' sides. Everything is original on this car
except for a repaint of the original Blue years ago. The interior is blue and
all original. The door panels are in great shape, however the dash pad is
cracked, and the front seat has a few seem rips. |

Ford calling in 28k Edge crossovers over fuel line leak
Thu, 16 Jan 2014A problem with the fuel line on certain examples of the Ford Edge has prompted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall. The issue revolves around the metal housing on the fuel line pulse damper, which was apparently improperly manufactured in the first place and is prone to crack in certain circumstances, leading to a fuel leak. And as we all know, a fuel leak is not a good thing.
The problem affects model year 2012 and 2013 Edge crossovers equipped with the 2.0-liter engine and manufactured between September 2, 2010 and April 25, 2013 - a total of 27,933 units. Although the Lincoln MKX is closely related to the Edge, since it isn't offered with the same engine (to which the problem is related), the recall does not include the premium-badged version. See the recall notice below for further details.
Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."
Is Tesla's next project an F-150 competitor? [w/poll]
Wed, 13 Nov 2013What's the future look like for Tesla after it launches the Model X CUV and possibly a smaller, sub-Model S sedan? Would you believe a pickup truck? Yes, Tesla could be looking to use its EV know-how to take the fight to Ford and the F-150, based on comments made by company founder Elon Musk.
"If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver."
And while the idea of electric pickup may sound kind of absurd to some, Musk makes a very valid point - if Tesla's goal is to replace gas miles with electrical miles, it simply can't afford to ignore pickups.
