Very nice convertible street rod. Disk brakes on front, drums on rear. 350 V-8 chevy engine, 2-speed GM power glide transmission. Hot rod black exterior, tan leatherette interior. Car runs and drives great...very dependable cruiser. This car does not have a top...fair weather cruising only. No air nor power steering. Car was built approximately 1 year ago.. I have enjoyed it this summer and attended several local cruise ins. Have my eye on another project and do not have room for both in my garage. This car is not a trailer queen by a long shot, but it is a nice dependable cruiser ready to go. Please do not bid if you are not serious...my reserve is much lower than the cost of the parts to build it. The car is available for inspection and test drive. I will be happy to assist with loading if transporting is necessary, however transportation of this car is the responsibility of the buyer. This car will be sold with a clear registration and bill of sale. It has been inspected, licensed, and insured in the state of Alabama. There is no title for cars of this age in the state of Alabama. Please make sure you can title in your state with these documents BEFORE YOU BID. 2015 Ford F-150 enters production
Wed, 12 Nov 2014Ford has given the F-150 a dramatic makeover for 2015, switching to an aluminum body that helps reduce weight by about 700 pounds. Because the truck is dramatically different, Ford also had to change the way it makes the F-150, so we went inside its sprawling factory in Dearborn, MI, this week to see the Blue Oval's new manufacturing techniques in action.
The company has added 850 jobs at the site and upgraded its stamping and tool and die facilities. The body shop is also modernized, and it has been fitted with 500 new robots that join the structures together. The first 2015 F-150 rolled off the line on Tuesday, and the trucks will begin arriving in dealerships in December. Get a closer look at the F-150's unique assembly process in our video.
This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like
Sat, 12 Oct 2013Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.

Ford's global performance vehicle chief engineer, accompanied by senior exterior designer Bruce Williams, sat down with the publication to discuss the concept and development of the automaker's super off-road F-150.
Designing a high-performance pickup in 2008, right when the cost of gasoline was going through the roof, seemed insane at the time, but the team pushed forward with the innovative vehicle regardless. The interview includes plenty of Ford B-roll footage as visual candy, and the conversations include discussions about exterior design, ride comfort, anti-lock brake tuning, suspension engineering, weight reduction and why it was necessary to make the Raptor visually different than Ford's standard F-150.
