This truck is ready to go and show I almost daily drive it when I can. This truck is definitely unique. It’s a 29 Ford, chopped 6 inches with a 57 Chevy hood as the top of the cab. The truck has been channeled 4 inches and shortened 6 inches. It has a small block 327 as the power with non-baffled "Zoomie" headers. ITS L-O-U-D!!! The interior or lack of consists of an Oldsmobile steering column and Steering wheel...license plates all throughout the inside, street signs as the door panels. It has 59 Caddy taillights, new speedway headlamps. It has a Turbo 350 Tranny and runs great. The truck sits on a custom 2x3 box tubing. It was "Zed" 4 inches in the front and 14 out back. Email with anymore questions

Ford Focus ST checks into Jay Leno's Garage

Mon, 23 Sep 2013

In a change of pace from the high-end vehicles that often appear in Jay Leno's Garage, Ford sends its hottest hatchback (in the US, at least), the 252-horsepower Focus ST, to be featured on Leno's show. Accompanying the five-door hatch is its chief engineer, Jamal Hameedi.
Riding on stylish 18-inch wheels with summer tires and with a spoiler that doubles as a lunch tray, Hameedi and Leno walk us through the finer points of what makes the ST special, which also includes bigger brakes, torque vectoring, a manual transmission and, of course, 252 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque from the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which is made possible by 21 psi of turbocharged boost.
Watch the video below to see what Leno thinks of the global Focus ST.

Ford celebrating 80 years of Aussie utes as it prepares to shutter Oz manufacturing

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

Ford is ending Australian production after 90 years in 2016, and with it may go perhaps the most iconic vehicles in its auto market - the ute. Car-based pickup trucks like the Ford Ranchero and Chevrolet El Camino were always more of a curiosity than a true market force here, but in Australia, they have long proven hugely popular.
As the legend goes, Ford invented the niche after a farmer's wife had asked Ford Australia's managing director for a more utilitarian car. Her request was simple: "My husband and I can't afford a car and a truck but we need a car to go to church on Sunday and a truck to take the pigs to market on Monday. Can you help?"
Ford's design team came up with a two-passenger, enclosed, steel coupe body with glass windows and a steel-paneled, wooden-frame load area in the rear. The sides of the bed were blended into the body to make it look more unified, and to keep costs down, the front end and interior were based on the Ford Model 40 five-window coupe. Power came from a V8 with shifting chores handled by a three-speed manual. Within a year, the new vehicle was ready, and production began in 1934. Lead designer Lewis Bandt christened it the coupe-utility.

Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
