I have reluctantly decided to sell my 1931 Ford Coupe. It is one of the coolest cars(in my opinion) I have ever owned. It is time to thin the herd and the Coupe is one of the 3 that drew the short straw. I want something different and need the space. This car has a steel body and is chopped 2". The cowl, truck lid and rear fenders are fiberglass. It sports a 1932 after market metal grille and grille shell. Stainless rods tie the grille shell to the body. It is titled as a 1931 Ford.

ENGINE:
355 Small block Chevy w/ All Edelbrock roller cam, lifters and rockers, Valve covers,  Aluminum heads, Flow through intake,  600CFM carb. and air cleaner. Mallory Ignition, Ceramic coated headers that flow into chrome side pipes and mufflers. Aluminum high flow water pump. Billet pulleys and harmonic balancer.
100 Amp Chrome alternator, Remote oil filter w/external gauge.
TRANSMISSION:
Turbo 350 w/mild shift kit, 2200 stall.  9" Ford w/3:23 gears make it highway friendly and easy on fuel. Lokar shifter
CHASSIS:
TCI frame w/Front disc brakes, Super Bell front axle, coil over shocks on rear. Wheel Vintiques Steelie Wheels w/ 42 Ford Caps and beauty rings. New tires all around. Custom pinstripping by SFV inside and out.. I named the Coupe "1/2 breed". She is a Ford with a Chevy motor.
INTERIOR:
Very comfortable bucket seats(Driver side is power). Rolled and pleated door panels, nicely upholstered headliner and package tray. Nice carpet. All in Black. Dyna-mat installed throughout the inside. Tinted glass side windows. Auto meter gauges(all work) with Sun Tachometer. Headlights, stop lights, turn signals, gauge lights, tach light all work including a switch operated interior led light. Tilt steering column and Leather covered steering wheel. Horn button is covered with a Genuine 1931 Texas chauffeurs badge. Flip out windshield.
The following items are made from Stainless steel:
Front and rear bumper, motor mounts, transmission mount, drive shaft loop, gas pedal, floor pans, trunk pan, trunk side panels,20 gallon fuel tank, and battery box along with several other small pieces.
As with most folks, I am sure I have forgotten many extras and upgrades. Its a great car and a good investment.

PLEASE, NO SCAMMERS, THIRD PARTY SELLERS, TIRE KICKERS OR SPORTS BIDDERS. If you do not have the funds readily available to close the deal, don't bid. All serious bidders & buyers can reach me @ 512-466-5307.

2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost flogged and analyzed by Ignition

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

Aside from the way it looks and perhaps its independent rear suspension, the biggest bit of news on the 2015 Mustang may be the inclusion of its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That blown mill marks the first time since the Mustang SVO of the '80s that a turbo has been fitted under the engine of Ford's pony car.
The Mustang EcoBoost is the subject of the latest episode of Ignition from Motor Trend, giving us a great look at the technical, nitty-gritty side of the turbocharged coupe. Covering it from bow to stern, host Carlos Lago walks us through the boosted Ford before taking to the track for some driving impressions, with particular praise given to the low-end grunt of the 2.3-liter mill.
Check out the full video and then let us know which 2015 Mustang has your interest piqued the most - the EcoBoost four, the 5.0L V8 or the entry-level V6.

Jay Leno and Lee Iacocca reflect on 50 years of Ford Mustang

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

Lee Iacocca oversaw the birth of the Ford Mustang back in the 1960s, rocketing the new pony car nameplate into million-unit sales territory in its initial go-round and cementing its place in the history books. Thus, we were immediately drawn to this latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage, in which the funnyman hosts Iacocca for a look at the origins of Ford's most iconic sports car. The legendary auto exec is looking notably more frail than when we last saw him, but if we're being asked around as a video guest when we're 89 years old, we'll consider that evidence of a life well lived.
Serial No. 0001 is on hand for the occasion for Jay's romp through history, as is the historic Mustang 1 showcar from 1962. Of course, the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT (in prototype form) makes an appearance at the end of the episode with chief engineer Dave Pericak, as well. Get some, below.

Ford celebrates 1 millionth Mustang built at Flat Rock

Thu, 18 Apr 2013

Yesterday, the Ford Mustang turned 49 years old, and Ford didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate the one millionth version of the Mustang rolling off the assembly line at the Flat Rock Assembly plant. Production of the Mustang at Flat Rock coincided with the fifth-generation design launching in 2004, and the one millionth car was the car shown above, a 2014 GT convertible painted in Ruby Red.
In total, Ford has sold more than 8.5 million Mustangs since the original car went on sale, but some of the key milestones over the car's nine years at Flat Rock include the Shelby GT-H, Bullitt, Boss 302 and, of course, the 662-horsepower Shelby GT500. Scroll down for a press release celebrating Flat Rock's milestone Mustang.
