1931 Austin American/ Ford Bantam. If you know the history, you know these were never put into production, and highly sought after. I am 6'2 and fit, it is tight but doable. Its a rough ride, its not a cadilac cruiser. Has a 400 sbc .030 over aluminum heads 510/510 cam, 350 turbo 2200 stall, manual brakes/steering.

No rust holes on body. Skim coat finishing glaze to level body, welded sun visor, 9" posi rear end drum/drum. Vehicle has a lot of power, may want to consider a disk brake conversion. Working lights all around. 4" drop axle with flipped spring and motorcycle coilovers to assist coil overs in rear. Ooga horn. Painless 12 curcuit harness installed with working brake lights. Does not have a fuel gauge, 11 gallon tank. Trans coller has its own electric fan. 1/8" steel floor and wheel wells. No seat belts. Painted flat black and orange. Has a windshield, but no windows or sun roof.

Body dimensions 6' from firewall to rear bulk head, 4' tall, 4' wide, 90" wheel base. Yes, the short wheel base gets a little squirly if you get on it hard.

Car is titled as a 31 ford. I have a clean and clear title in hand.

I am a Missouri State car dealer, I own a small used car lot. I bought this car for personal enjoyment, but its time to move on. Car is for sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Cash only, no checks of any type. Car and title will not leave until paid for and all the paperwork is done. May consider trades, let me know what youve got and what you think its worth.

Justin Bell makes a horrible policeman

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If you're wondering what type of person makes a good police officer, it seems a racecar driver doesn't. Let us rephrase that: Justin Bell, a racecar driver and the host of Motor Trend's World's Fastest Car Show, recently got behind the wheel of a 5.0-liter Ford Mustang police car with Sergeant Daniel Shrubb, co-founder of DRAGG (Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffiti), and proved that his high-performance-driving skillset is a bit too aggressive for police duty.
While it's easy to get carried away in a Mustang GT, a patrol car driver must maintain some sort of restraint while pursuing a criminal, so as not to come off as a reckless driver to the public. We'll admit, some pursuit techniques are counter-intuitive to performance driving (stay off the gas in a lane-change exercise?), but Bell's judicious use of the handbrake can't be normal procedure.
Watch "The One With The Ford Mustang 5.0 Police Car" (yes, we caught the Friends reference too) below to see some shenanigans in one of Michigan's finest patrol cars.

Old vs. new debate gets new life with $25,000 Fiesta ST vs. E46 M3 showdown

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."

Ford Fiesta ST gets worked out on the track

Sun, 10 Mar 2013

We're big fans of the turbocharged Ford Focus ST, and we're plenty excited that the Blue Oval will be offering a similar treatment on the smaller Fiesta here in the United States, too. We first saw the production-ready Fiesta ST five-door at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, and Ford has now released this video of a Euro-spec three-door ST being flung around the track.
But not just any track - the challenging Track 7 of Ford's Lommel Proving Grounds in Belgium. The course features 20 turns and plenty of elevation changes along its 2.7-mile loop, and David Put, a vehicle dynamic specialist at Ford, shows just how good the pint-sized Fiesta ST is at handling the lot, even getting the smallest ST up on three wheels every now and then.
It sure does look like a lot of fun, and makes us really eager for our chance to try this ourselves. Scroll down to see the hot little Ford getting busy.
