New removable Supertrapp mufflers with discs so you can tune it to the sound and performance you want.

The car sounds awesome, with a good cam lope. It drives real nice and turns smooth. Bumby roads are a little rough, but understandable. This isn't a rat rod or a street rod, it's a Hot Rod. it's just a really good looking hot rod that you can get in and go cruising. The body was in excellent shape when I started. It had been bead blasted and pretty straight. The doors were a real pain trying to get them to line up right. The passenger door is a little off, but it was the best I could with what I had to work with. The interior has removable panels to allow access to the rear end components, battery, shocks, etc. The paint is House of Kolor, Kandy Brandywine Basecoat over Black. The paint finish is really good. The car recently won best of show out of over 200 cars, so I was very pleased with that. It's a head turner for sure. It draws alot of attention. I have a clean Missouri title for it. The car is a 1931 Tudor Sedan, and I found an original Missouri title for a 1930 Ford Coupe, and thats what i used to get it registered. So, now the car is registered as a 1930 Ford Coupe, and it's all numbers matching. The numbers on the Frame, Body, and Title all match so no problems getting tags and insurance. I just finished building the car a couple of weeks ago. The engine only has about 20 miles on it. I'm only selling it so I can build another one, I just enjoy building them. The side, rear, and drivers windows are all jet black plexiglass, so you can't see through them. The door window roll up and down and since there is no air conditioning the windows are gonna be down anyways in the summer so thats why i went with the black plexiglass. It just looks better. The doors need to have a slide lock of some kind, just in case the doors come open while driving, and you can put a headliner in it if you want to. I just chose not to. It has a couple of original 31' gauges but there is no gas gauge or speedometer. Other than that I can't think of anything else it needs. most everything on it is new. Please click on the link and watch the video, and look at all the pictures. What you see is what you get.

Jay Leno sees how the other half lives with CHP cop cars new and old

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

Comedian Jay Leno is changing gears from driving fast cars to checking out some of the police cruisers that regularly chase down and dish out punishment to those fast cars. In this episode of Jay Leno's Garage, we get the lowdown on the modifications made to the Ford Explorer for the Interceptor package (which looks pretty tough in its California Highway Patrol livery).
The new Ford is cool, but cooler still are the pack of classic CHP cars that Jay has along for the episode. A 1982 Mustang, 1966 Dodge Polara, 1970 Mercury Monterey and 2000 Crown Victoria are all in the shop. Better still, Jay lays out an argument for ones of the classic cruisers as the best cop car of all time. Get your guesses in now, and then scroll down to watch and learn.

Ford Fusion and Fusion Hybrid nab five-star ratings from NHTSA

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Ford's Fusion and Fusion Hybrid have both received the highest five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The rating is a big upgrade for the Fusion, which was completely redesigned for 2013. The previous model fell one star short of the top rating, after scoring only three stars in the frontal crash test and four stars in the side crash test and rollover evaluations. The 2013 Fusion received four stars in side crash and rollover testing and a full five stars in the front crash test.
Test results for the 2013 Fusion and Fusion Hybrid were greatly improved at least in part due to Ford's Personal Safety System. The system utilizes smarter sensors to gather crash data and tailor the car's restraint systems to the occupants. Seatbelt usage and seat position are taken into account to ensure airbags deploy with less pressure for smaller drivers, more for larger drivers.
The 2013 Fusion twins also received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+ designation. Read the official press release below.

Hennessey unleashes 2015 HPE700 supercharged Ford Mustang

Sun, 05 Oct 2014

Thanks to the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat there is a new magic number in the muscle car world - 707. To raise eyebrows these days in the power war, a vehicle needs to match or preferably exceed that palindromic figure. The tuners over at Hennessey took a look at it for their 2015 HPE700 Mustang and decided to go one better. Well, ten actually, because they bestowed their latest creation with 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque.
The HPE 700 Mustang takes the standard Mustang GT with its 5.0-liter V8 and turns up the power a few hundred notches with a Roots-type supercharger running at 7.25 psi. Hennessey claims that this boosted 'Stang can rocket to 60 miles per hour in about 3.6 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. For those keeping score at home, those figures are very similar to Challenger Hellcat.
To cope with all of the added boost, the engine gets a high-flow throttle body, upgraded injectors, new fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust and Hennessey's calibration for the engine management. Pricing for the package is $59,500, including the base 2015 Mustang GT, but the company is limiting production to 500 units for the 2015 model year. Founder John Hennessey told Autoblog that he has already received about a dozen orders for them.
