Up for sale is my Ford Model A chassis I built when I was a student at WyoTech. It's extremely well built. I put a lot of hours into it as well as a number of students who followed me. A few of my instructors put time into it as well. I would put it up against any builders chassis' produced by high end shops.
Here is a list of features of the chassis:
QA1 chromed front shocks
6" drop spring-over front axle
Ford style spindles
11" disk brakes
27" hair pins
Vega steering box
1932 Ford front crossmember (the plan was to put a shortened 32 grill shell on it)
Shortened heavy duty Ford 9" rearend
Carrera coil-over rear shocks
Four-link rear suspension
The frame is Z'd in the rear and kicked up in the front to provide a 6" ride height. I had a set of nice steel wheeled big n' little whitewalls for all four corners from Coker. Unfortunately the rears were stolen but the fronts are still there. The frame horns are bobbed. And so much more. A lot of thought and effort went into this chassis that there are too many features to list. This is a super nice frame and it kills me to sell it but unfortunately I've had to turn my priorities elsewhere. Speedway sells it's Model T builders frame for $5000. Art Morrison, Fatman Fabrications, etc. sell similar builders frames for close to $8000. This is a great price for and outstanding chassis.

Ford recalling 65k Fusions from 2014 and 2015 because key can be removed
Tue, 18 Nov 2014Ford is recalling an estimated 64,869 examples of the 2014-2015 Fusion, Fusion Energi and Fusion Hybrid in North America because the key can be removed when the vehicle isn't in Park under certain conditions. Specifically, the campaign covers 56,479 units in the US, 6,048 in Canada and 2,342 in Mexico, according to the automaker's tally on November 11.
Ford says a programming problem in the instrument cluster means that the key can be removed 30 minutes after the ignition is turned off, even if the transmission is not in Park. The situation where this could happen seems quite limited, and the company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue. However, the fault puts the vehicle out of compliance with federal regulations covering theft protection and rollaways, and must be repaired.
The fix is easy: Ford will reprogram the instrument cluster at no cost to consumers. According to Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker in an email to Autoblog, "We will notify customers the week of January 5th." Scroll down to read Ford's announcement.
Jay Leno is far beyond driven in his 1971 Pantera
Mon, 23 Jun 2014Perhaps it's fitting that the band Pantera is known for its heavy metal music, because the DeTomaso Pantera is the automotive equivalent of a metal album. It's short, aggressive and makes a mean sound. It doesn't mess around either, with a Ford 351-cubic-inch (5.75-liter) V8 sending mountains of torque to the rear wheels. This week, Jay Leno takes us on a detailed tour of his '71 to show why it rocks.
There's a regular format to Jay Leno's Garage. It starts with Jay and maybe a guest taking a look at the car and talking about its history, and then they take it out on the open road. However, this video is practically a Pantera buyer's guide. Jay is adamant from the start that the last thing anyone should own is a stock example. To remedy this, he and his guest, the editor of the Pantera Club magazine, take viewers to school about some of the ways to turn them into even better performance machines.
No matter what you do to it, though, the Pantera requires that the driver adapt to it, not the other way around. For example, Jay isn't a big guy by most standards, but he has to cram himself into the cockpit with his shoes off and shirt partially unbuttoned just to go for a drive. Sun, 30 Mar 2014Bloomberg TV reporter Matt Miller is the proud new owner of a pretty killer truck. How do we know? The reporter headed to Dearborn, MI to Ford's assembly plant, with a film crew in tow, to see exactly how his new F-150 SVT Raptor and its mother-loving 6.2-liter V8 engine, was screwed together.
The resulting video does an excellent job of summing up how an assemblage of parts and pieces is turned into a triple-black Raptor, thanks to the work of some 1,000 employees and about 20 hours of real time.
