1924 Model T Roadster Survivor on 2040-cars
Montoursville, Pennsylvania, United States
FOR SALE IS A 1924 FORD MODEL T; THIS IS A TRUE SURVIVOR, THIS HAS ONLY BEEN TITLED TO 2 PEOPLE. I HAVE THE HISTORY OF THE CAR BACK TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER. ALL WE NEED TO DO IS DRIVE 10 MILES AND TALK TO THE CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILD THAT I PURCHASED IT FROM. THIS VEHICLE IS ALL CORRECT; THE ENGINE, TRANS ARE IN PERFECT ORDER; THERE IS A COVER FOR THE COIL BOX. I JUST FORGOT TO TAKE THE PICTURE. THERE IS 2 ORIGINAL HARD TIRES AND A RIM THAT GO WITH IT ALSO. I PURCHASED THIS ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO. IT WAS A FUN LITTLE CAR TO DRIVE. IT FELT LIKE A ONE MAN PARADE NO MATTER WHERE YOU WENT. I TOOK THE CAR TO 2 SHOWS LAST YEAR AND WON BOTH TIMES. I AM MORE OF A MUSCLE CAR PERSON AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS GO TO SOMEONE WHO WOULD APPRECIATE THE HISTORY. TODD 570-419-6989 |

Americans will get a four-cylinder Ford Mustang after all? [w/poll]
Sat, 09 Mar 2013Ask and you shall receive. Remember that previous report suggesting that the 2015 Ford Mustang getting a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and that it would be sold in Europe only and not the United States? Well, according to Road & Track, the rumor is only partially true - The Mustang will get the engine, but it is indeed coming to America.
Additionally, according to RT, the 3.7-liter V6 will continue to serve as the base engine, and since it offers up a stout 305 horsepower in its current form, it's likely that the 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost will produce a bit more than that. At the top of the range, the Mustang GT will continue to soldier on with a V8 engine, which should continue to send over 400 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Finally, while we agree 100 percent with RT's heartfelt request for a paddle-shift automatic, we certainly expect that the EcoBoost 'Stang will be offered with a manual transmission as standard equipment. This is a Mustang, after all...
Entry-level F-150 now offers SuperCrew, Sport Package
Thu, 29 Aug 2013Ford has made a few notable tweaks to the lower end of its F-150 lineup, giving customers a more affordable version of the four-door SuperCrew body style. The popular SuperCrew could previously only be had on XLT models and above, but Ford has announced that 2014 F-150s with the base STX trim can get the more versatile body.
The STX SuperCrew brings the price of a four-door F-150 down from $34,525 to $33,145. Like the XLT SuperCrew, the STX will be available with the choice of a 5.5- or 6.5-foot bed, while a 5.0-liter V8 can replace the base 3.7-liter V6 for $4,425. Ford has not released pricing on the different bed lengths yet, but opting for the 6.5-foot bed on the XLT raises the price $1,240 and forces buyers into the 5.0-liter V8. We'd expect a similar arrangement on the STX.
The other big news for fans of affordable pickups is the addition of an STX Sport Package on the base-level truck. It adds 20-inch wheels, black exterior accents, black-and-gray cloth seats and decals on the truck's box. The Sport Package is available on all three of the STX's body styles, with Ford listing the price as $980 with current discounts.
Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]
Mon, 08 Jul 2013It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.
