1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback, A-code Car, 289 4bbl Automatic, Beautiful on 2040-cars
Jasper, Tennessee, United States
ONLY SERIOUS BIDDERS PLEASE!! If you are interested in
the car then make a bid. No reserve set. The starting price is fair market value for this type of car. This 1965
classic Mustang 2+2 Fastback is a great car. Cars in this condition are not easy to come
by. This is a solid running, driving
car. This car has a clear Tennessee title. I have owned this car for the last 5 years. I will answer any questions
you have about it as honestly as I know how.
It has always been garage kept since I have owned
it. I have too many toys and something
must go. Let me state up front, this is not a show car. If that is what you are expecting, then stop
now. It does have some flaws. It is an older restoration. If you were to restore this car, you could
easily make money. I have built, owned
and sold enough of these cars to know it is desirable and getting much harder
to find. The paint is not perfect, but it is shiny and
presentable. It does have a few cracks
which I have shown in pictures. Don’t
get me wrong, this car is a head turner.
It will get you noticed and it is fun to drive. Lots of the parts
are original. Since I have owned the car
I have made a few upgrades. I
cleaned & detailed the rear end and springs while working in this area. I have added an aluminum radiator too. Floor pans are solid. I have replaced the driver side floor
pan. Also I added torque boxes to give
the car added strength. The 1965 Mustang
did not have these so this is a nice upgrade.
I replaced the battery apron... old Mustangs are notorious for
this being a problem area. Please see
pictures of all the mentioned areas. A previous owner
added the fiberglass hood with scoop, but it looks great on this car. This is an A/C car but it has no belt. Seats show some wear but are fine. It
also has an original console. The car has
the correct original motor which is a 289 4 bbl. It has an automatic transmission. It runs and drives very smooth. The car has disc brakes and power steering which are original to the car. It also has the desirable fold down seat
which is original to the car. If you are
interested, you can ask any questions or make your bid. Notice I blocked out the tag in any picture
showing it. Just wanted you to know
there is nothing wrong with this area of the car if you notice that in the
pictures.
This car is located right outside
Chattanooga, TN. If you need
to see something I have not shown in the pictures, just ask me. NOTICE: I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY AS IT IS FOR SALE LOCALLY ALSO. I ABSOLUTELY ENCOURAGE YOU TO

The 11 most expensive American cars ever
Tue, 12 Aug 2014Here's a Pro Tip for all you would-be classic car investors out there: buy Ferraris. With the Pebble Beach festivities kicking off this week, including any number high end car auctions, we thought it would be entertaining to compile a list of some to the most expensive cars ever sold with the bang of a gavel. Trouble is, once you get past the splendor of everyone's favorite Italian sports car maker, that list is pretty boring.
Ferrari dominates the all-time auction sales list; seven of the top ten most expensive cars sold wear the Cavallino Rampante badge, as well as more than half of the top fifty. Sure, a nearly $30-million Mercedes-Benz W196 racecar might be the new top dog as of last year, but it's even possible that Ferrari could take that title back in Monterey this weekend. Long story short: we think a list of the most expensive American cars ever sold at auction is a lot more entertaining to read. Hell, our list has a friggin' Batmobile on it, how can it go wrong?
Follow on below for the top ten cars that are red, white, blue and a whole lot of green.
Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.
Ford Edge Concept previews new look, can park itself remotely
Wed, 20 Nov 2013It turns out the image we saw back in February did, in fact, reveal the next-generation Ford Edge - at least in concept form. We still have to wait to see what the design will look like in production guise, but until then, Ford is giving us a good idea thanks to the Edge Concept being introduced at the LA Auto Show.
The new styling is an evolution of the current crossover's face with narrow headlights and a prominently slatted grille, while the rest of the design adds a more dynamic appearance with interesting body creases and horizontal taillights. We haven't gotten a look inside the Edge Concept just yet, but Ford is promising a suite of advanced driver-assist technologies including a new self-park system that allows activation from inside or outside the vehicle along with obstacle avoidance and an adaptive electric power steering system.
Ford will continue to offer an EcoBoost engine option in the upcoming Edge, and it will get active grille shutters to help maximize fuel efficiency. No word yet on when we'll be seeing the next-gen Edge in production form, but as we reported recently, it will become a global model in markets including Europe, China and South America. Ford's press release is posted below, but we'll have more information and images up later today.
