Has many new parts and features yet has room to add your own personal touch."

This is a very clean 1965 Ford Mustang coupe.  It comes with a 302cid engine (engine code - C80E-6015-A) and a Borg-Warner T-5 9(Id tag#1352-199), 5-speed manual transmission.  It also has a 9" posi rear end with 4.56 gearing.  Wheels are Coy's Wheels (17" in front, 18" in rear).  Drum brakes throughout.  New exhaust system recently installed - 2.5" pipes, JBA mid-length headers, x-pipe, Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers.  Engine specs: Holley 4150 750 cfm double pumper (82751), aftermarket intake, stock heads with roller rockers, camshaft (high duration, exacts specs uncertain), MSD 8479 pro-billet distributor, alum. radiator (not installed yet), 10.5:1 compression, electric fuel pump, new shocks, springs and bushings, new gas tank.

Interior - new carpet, headliner, dash pad, recently changed instrument cluster (not fully functional), shaved door handles (electronically release using remote or door button on inside of vehicle).  Will need to have clutch replaced or adjusted (but still drivable).  Driveshaft needs balancing, should be no more than a $80 job if you remove it yourself.) Speedometer inaccurate (you can change speedogear to match) fuel gauge doesn't work properly (needs new resistor - has new gauge and new sending unit.)
Exterior - Body is straight. Has a small ding (size of a nickel or smaller) in driver rear quarter panel.  Scuff marks around the vehicle (can easily be buffed out by detail person).  Very fun vehicle to drive.  Feel free to ask me any questions.  I am not the original builder but I have done a lot of work on it since I purchased it over 4 years ago.  Since this is an auction, and am selling the vehicle so I can purchase a home, I will leave the final price to the best bidder.  Happy Bidding!!!
Additional notes: I have tried to be as descriptive of the current condition of the car so there may be things that I have not described in this section. Car is sold as is and buyer must cover shipping costs. (Car can drive local but will need to be trailered no matter where it is being transported due to rear end gear ratio.)

Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long. That's fair enough, but do you think Phelan is on point, or all wet? Head on over to the Detroit Free Press to read his words, then have your say in Comments.

Plethora of 2015 Ford F-150 customs runs the gamut at SEMA

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Of Ford's customized trucks, two feature the name of famous Ford racers.
Of all the OEMs making appearances at the 2014 SEMA show, Ford owns arguably the most significant group of vehicles, thanks to its new 2015 F-150 and Mustang. While you can look for our Mustang coverage soon, we've managed to sneak out and get snaps of some of a few of the F-150s on display at the company's sprawling, 20,000-square-foot display (look for even more aftermarket F-150 goodness in the coming days).

Ford to add more than 2,000 jobs in Kansas City

Thu, 02 May 2013

Continued high demand for the Ford F-150, along with the addition of the all-new Transit series of commercial vehicles, has led Ford to announce that it will add over 2,000 jobs at its Kansas City Assembly Plant. At the time of the announcement, the plant boasts 2,450 hourly employees working on two shifts. All told, Ford will invest $1.1 billion in the Kansas City plant to expand truck production and begin producing the Transit series.
According to the automaker, fullsize truck sales are up 19 percent through April of 2013, leading to an additional 900 workers and a third shift of production for the F-150. Production of the Transit series will begin in the fourth quarter of this year, requiring an additional 1,100 workers. In addition, Ford estimates that a total of 18,000 jobs will be created by suppliers to its Kansas City plant to support the additional vehicle production.
