As seen and sold in the world famous Barrett Jackson Auction, 2013! (google it!) Remarkable restoration on this rare 65 fastback Mustang!!YES, this car was purchased at the Auction over 2 years ago and is a GREAT investment for the discerning collector. This is not your run of the mill Pony - its special AND ready to run! WE paid over $65k for this car so we raised the opening bid and the reserve. True muscle cars and classics like this are ONLY appreciating in value! This car was completely stripped to the metal prior to being fitted to a full rotisserie where the body was massaged to show quality standards. Finished in Dupont three stage Graphite Gray Metallic with two Raven Black stripes buried beneath several coats of the finest clear coat available. Every nut and bolt on the body was replaced with new during the reassembly of this fastback. All of the exterior chrome and stainless has been replaced or restored to concours quality. The underside of this car has also been media blasted and refinished to look like it just rolled off the assembly line. Powered by a very strong running Hi performance 289 and a smooth shifting, console shift automatic transmission. Brand new Holley 4 barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, Drake Performance headers and a brand new Flowmaster exhaust system. Features power steering, disc brakes, a complete new interior including seats, headliner, dash and carpet. Nothing was overlooked on this no expense spared build which has resulted in an amazing custom fastback. We have been showing this car on Ebay for a while now, and while it has not sold, it has helped generate a lot of sales for a lot of our other cars. YES, we are a collector car company and YES, we specialize in unusual and special cars. This car is physically located in our climate controlled warehouse in Delray Beach, Florida. She is started daily and driven around the block (except when it looks like a chance of rain!). She sounds unreal, due to the flowmaster exhaust. We have acquired and sold a number of special cars, but we can attest that, without a DOUBT, this car gains more looks and more attention than ANY OTHER beauty we have ever had. Sorry, but no, we do not offer financing. We can help you by recommending several collector finance companies if you need it. We can also assist you with transport of the car. Check out our website to see more pics or regular office hours. Feel free to email or call with any questions. It's a special car, and you should feel welcome to ask anything you want! Good luck! - Delray Exotic Motors |

Jay Leno drives postcard-perfect '32 Ford Highboy Roadster
Mon, 25 Aug 2014At the turn of the century, it was arguably the Honda Civic that best defined inexpensive performance tuning, and in the '50s it was the Tri-5 Chevys. One of the earliest platforms to gain a huge following among young people looking for a cheap way to go fast was the classic '32 Ford Highboy Roadster. This week, Jay Leno's Garage looks at one of the very first vehicles that defined the look of the hot rod heyday.
This '32 Ford was built in the '40s and graced the cover of the fourth issue of Hot Rod Magazine back in 1948. All of the hot rods that you see shining at car shows today owe a serious debt of gratitude to this roadster. It bears all of the cues that define the look, including a notched frame and hidden door hinges. Under the three-piece hood is a flathead V8 boasting all sorts of period modifications, including copper cylinder heads. It was seriously fast in its era too, and proved it by reaching 112.21 miles per hour on a dry lakebed in 1947.
These days, this hot rod is on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Although, if you can't make it to California to see it, the United States Postal Service is celebrating this Ford with one of its two hot rod Forever stamps. Like Jay says in the video, in terms of hot rodding, "it all comes back to this." Check out the video to learn more about this rolling piece of tuning history.
Ford confirms Everest SUV production for China
Sat, 19 Apr 2014According to Ford, the Chinese SUV segment grew by 49 percent in 2013, and the Blue Oval held a 4.5 percent market share. At the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, Ford is showing the Everest SUV that, while just a concept for now, will go into production in the near future.
The Everest is a big, brawny seven-seat SUV that mixes solid, chiseled styling and contemporary Ford design cues. Up front there is an angular version of the trapezoidal grille and sharp, wraparound headlights. The beltline rises in the rear to make the back appear higher than the front. The rear seems just as chiseled, with the taillights resting in jagged scallops. There is no doubt that this concept means to look rugged, and ready for rough roads - the whole thing looks pretty great.
The truck was penned by Ford's Asia Pacific design and engineering team in Australia, and it was first shown in Sydney last year. Ford's JMC joint venture will build the truck for the Chinese market, and it will be sold at Ford dealers there. The Blue Oval isn't hinting at what powers the production version yet, but it reportedly shares some components with the foreign-market Ranger.
Ford Edge Concept previews new look, can park itself remotely
Wed, 20 Nov 2013It turns out the image we saw back in February did, in fact, reveal the next-generation Ford Edge - at least in concept form. We still have to wait to see what the design will look like in production guise, but until then, Ford is giving us a good idea thanks to the Edge Concept being introduced at the LA Auto Show.
The new styling is an evolution of the current crossover's face with narrow headlights and a prominently slatted grille, while the rest of the design adds a more dynamic appearance with interesting body creases and horizontal taillights. We haven't gotten a look inside the Edge Concept just yet, but Ford is promising a suite of advanced driver-assist technologies including a new self-park system that allows activation from inside or outside the vehicle along with obstacle avoidance and an adaptive electric power steering system.
Ford will continue to offer an EcoBoost engine option in the upcoming Edge, and it will get active grille shutters to help maximize fuel efficiency. No word yet on when we'll be seeing the next-gen Edge in production form, but as we reported recently, it will become a global model in markets including Europe, China and South America. Ford's press release is posted below, but we'll have more information and images up later today.
