You are bidding on a 1969 Mustang Fastback.  This is also known as the Sports Roof.  The car has no engine or transmission.  It was originally equipped with a 351 Windsor 4bbl and 3 speed manual transmission.  The car was made in San Jose California, and Shiped to Bob Brock Ford Inc. in Big Spring TX.  The car was built with the following Factory Options:

Raven Black Paint
Sports Roof
351-4V Engine
Light Nugget Gold Kiwi Vinyl Standard Bucket Interior
3 speed Manual transmission
E78x14 White Side Wall Tires
Air Conditioner- Selectaire
AM Radio
Tinted Glass Complete

The car is currently in primer and has no motor or transmission.  Partially dissembled for restoration.  This is a very solid car.  The Torque boxes are nice and crisp as are the frame rails.  The inner and outer wheels houses have no rust.  The car will not need quarters.  The doors are very good and should not need replaced.  The passenger door has slight damage to the skin but is a good door.  The shock towers are in great shape with no cracks or cut outs for grease fittings.  As you can see the car was originaly built with 1 standard shock tower and 1 wrap around shock tower (big block car).  These are original to the car.  The floor pans are great.  The drivers front floor pan has a few small spots in it but will not require a floor pan.  The clutch pedals are still in the car.  As you see in the pictures there are some misc. parts that come with it including the quarter windows and front and rear window trim.  Not pictured but included is the rear window.  The car is missing the windshield and passenger door glass.

This would make a great car to restore or build how ever you want.  Please look at the pictures and feel free to email or call 865-621-4012 with any questions.
If you get here and don't like this car for any reason you won't have to take it.  If you are looking for really good 69 mustang you will love this car.

Ford picks Fiesta ST, Transit Connect as this year's SEMA darlings

Sat, 02 Feb 2013

SEMA is more than nine months away, but the reveille bugle for the show has just sounded with Ford's call to aftermarket companies for its project-vehicle program. The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST and 2014 Transit Connect van and wagon are the cars The Blue Oval wants to feature, but applicants can submit project vehicles for any product except the GT500, the Raptor, or anything from Lincoln.
Submissions must be completed in two parts, the first being an email to Ford with an overview of the project, like vehicle theme, promotional plan and location display. The second part must be mailed in on company letterhead and gets down to the nuts and bolts of the vision and the provision of company bona fides. The complete proposal is due on March 1, winners will be notified by May 1. Click the link below to get all the details, and for show attendees, get ready to see some funky Fiestas and wild shaggin' wagons in Las Vegas come November.

Ford recalls 83k Taurus and crossover models for halfshaft issue

Fri, 15 Aug 2014

Ford and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall for some 83,250 vehicles in the US, for an issue with halfshafts. More specifically a "halfshaft retention circlip" might not have been properly installed on affected vehicles, with the result being halfshafts that may move improperly or disengage completely from the linkshaft while driving. The NHTSA release also notes that the issue may occur "without prior warning" which obviously factors in to the timeliness of getting this checked.
Should the halfshaft disengage, a few troubling things could happen. If it occurs while driving, power from the engine will no longer be transmitted to the wheels. And, if the vehicle is parked without the parking brake applied after disengagement of the circlip, vehicles may roll away even if they're transmissions have been placed in "Park."
Affected vehicles are as follows: Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers from model years 2012 to 2014; Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS sedans from model years 2013 to 2014; Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT vehicles from model years 2013 to 2014.

Americans will get a four-cylinder Ford Mustang after all? [w/poll]

Sat, 09 Mar 2013

Ask and you shall receive. Remember that previous report suggesting that the 2015 Ford Mustang getting a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and that it would be sold in Europe only and not the United States? Well, according to Road & Track, the rumor is only partially true - The Mustang will get the engine, but it is indeed coming to America.
Additionally, according to RT, the 3.7-liter V6 will continue to serve as the base engine, and since it offers up a stout 305 horsepower in its current form, it's likely that the 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost will produce a bit more than that. At the top of the range, the Mustang GT will continue to soldier on with a V8 engine, which should continue to send over 400 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Finally, while we agree 100 percent with RT's heartfelt request for a paddle-shift automatic, we certainly expect that the EcoBoost 'Stang will be offered with a manual transmission as standard equipment. This is a Mustang, after all...
