\\Selling a 1988 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT Convertible. I am the 2nd owner of the car and bought from a navy vet in the Mid West. The car has been immaculately maintained, garage kept and is all stock, with the exception of an added BBK cold air intake and exhaust. I replaced exhaust including new headers, cats, x pipe, etc. car has 174,000 miles but you wouldn't know it... The car is clean, well maintained, sounds mean and is an eye catcher. I have taken this car on 200 mile road trips with no issues what so ever...
Everything in the car is original with the exception of the wheels, headers, exhaust, stereo and intake. I have the stock wheels, headers and intake that will be turned over to the succesful bidder. The paint is original with a few minor door dings, however has a beautiful clearcoat since it has been garge kept.
Things worth mentioning:
- cold AC, cruise control, power windows, power convertible top all work great
- new convertible top
- brand new brakes, drums, rotors
-new fire hawk Indy 500 tires - less than 1000 miles on them
-new Kenwood Excelon receiver with speakers all around.
- did a full tune up last year- plugs, wires, cap/rotor
-new battery 2013
-interior is immaculate- no cracks in the dash
-clean under the hood
Payment will be cash or certified funds if local. Check if out of state. Buyer is responsible for shipping the vehicle if necessary. I encourage you to bid on this as I have a very reasonable reserve set to FMV for this vehicle... GOOD LUCK!

Ford reveals concept trucks that ultimately became Atlas
Wed, 03 Apr 2013The Ford Atlas Concept was one of the quiet success stories of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and now Ford has given us a quick glimpse as to how that creation came to be. Designers actually combined two early sketches to build the Atlas. One, called the Bullet Train, is a futuristic, aerodynamic creation, while the other, aptly named the Locomotive, features the squared off proportions we're familiar with.
Once designers settled on the truck's proportions, they began nailing down exactly which attributes they wanted the final design to have. The Concept's notched windshield originated as a forked glass roof that seamlessly transitioned into the windscreen.
Likewise, designers wanted to fit the truck's tailgate with a storage compartment for tools and a first aid kit, but settled on the dual-purpose step/cargo cradle. Interestingly enough, the concept's active aero shutter wheels actually originated in some of the earliest sketches. Check out the photos and slides here for a closer look.
Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks
Fri, 19 Sep 2014It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.
Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.
