Up for sale is a 1989 Mustang LX hatch 5 liter 5 speed car. It has 160,000 miles but runs excellent. I drove the car from Northeastern Pennsylvania to here in Michigan last summer, about a 600 mile trip and had no problems, I wouldn't hesitate to take the trip in the car again. As with every used car; there is good and bad. I'll start with the good

The Good

The car runs and drives excellent
Minimal rust for the area; the car has spent its entire life either in Northeastern Pennsylvania or here in Michigan
It has a Pioneer CD player and Pioneer and Infinilty speakers
the only miles on the new tires are from the trip here to MI
with the 3.73 gears; the car gets about 26 MPG highway, was almost 30 with the 3.08 rear gears
The car is lightly modified and the parts are as follows:

3.73 gears
McLeod Stage 2 clutch
1 5/8 BBK shorty headers
Off - Road H-pipe without cats
2.5 in Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers and tailpipes
sub frame connectors
I'm sure I'm forgetting other things but I was basically preparing for a stronger engine

The Bad

There is rust on the car but as I said before there is only surface rust, no through holes
There is a dent in the roof that can be seen in the photos, that is the reason that there is no headliner in the car, however I already have a $280 ABS plastic backed replacement from late model resto that is included with the car
The cruise control has not worked since I have owned the car

Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum

With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.

Henry Ford's great grandson turned 16 on December 27, 1964 - two days after Christmas and eight months after the original Mustang went on sale. And that's just what was waiting for him in the driveway, courtesy of his father (and reigning chief executive) Henry Ford II.
The specially-prepared pony car had a pearlescent cream paintjob with narrow blue racing stripes, functional hood scoop, chrome trim, Euro-spec fender-mounted mirrors, a blue leather and aluminum interior, a monogrammed fuel cap... and a 289-cubic-inch V8 under the hood.

Ford Everest Concept shows China also has an affinity for big trucks

The Ford Everest Concept SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show shows the future of the Blue Oval's truck line in China. While a concept for now, we're told that JMC, Ford's Chinese joint-venture partner, will build a production version sometime in the near future.
With design from Ford's Asia Pacific design team, the handsome seven-passenger SUV shows off some very muscular styling with wraparound headlights that hook into the contours of the angular trapezoidal grille. The beltline rises up the body in the rear and makes the back appear higher than the front. The rear is made from hard, chiseled contours that give the truck a very tough look. The Everest looks ready for some rough roads.
Ford is keeping the interior and mechanical details about the Everest a secret for now, but the SUV is rumored to share some components with the overseas Ranger pickup.
