1990 Ford Mustang GT 5 speed, all black interior. Emerald Green/Titanium. 189,900 miles on the chassis, engine and transmission were rebuilt by previous owner. Engine runs perfect and doesn't leak anything, transmission shifts smooth. AC blows cold, heater and defroster work perfectly as a new heater core was recently replaced. Interior is original all black, very clean with minor scuffs. Ashtray door and armrest door both original and work perfectly.

Car was built and has been in California its entire life from viewing the previous owners. There is no rust whatsoever on the underside or the hatch and roof that is common on these cars.  I believe I am the fourth owner, the guy I bought it from did not own it long and the previous owner before him owned it since about 1994.

I am a fox mustang enthusiast who has owned 5 fox bodies and this one is for sale due to a new '64 fairlane project leading to lack of garage space to keep both. I would very much like to keep it but simply don't have the space or time to give it what it deserves. In my ownership I have completed the 5 lug/cobra brake conversion as well as adding the electric fan and a few other things to keep it running perfectly and being reliable as a daily driver. Vehicle could be used as a daily driver or a fun weekend car. I will be upfront with the negatives and continue into the details. Thanks for looking!

Negatives:
-The car was backed into while parked only hitting the bumper and tail light from the side, the left rear tail light was broken as well as causing paint chipping and gouges in the bumper trim. I have filled much of the gouges and repainted the bumper but it is noticeable and the silver/titanium was not the exact match. From the rear it is hard to tell, but the bumper compared to the rear fender shows it very apparent. I would recommend a professional fix it, and may be best with a new bumper. (both tail lights have been replaced with new DEPO housings and lenses)
-Both front seat fabric are worn drivers side more than passenger, seat doesn't exhibit the "fox body lean"
-Drivers side door lock does not lock by power, but does lock manually.
-Passenger window goes up and down slow but always works. Seems to work better when its warm out.
-Paint is a respray that is not perfect but is decent, various scratches and chips especially in the front of the hood. Cowl hood is not the highest quality but fits decently.
-Saleen wing on passenger side tab is broken/coming out of the body. Wing is secured not at risk of coming off

NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue

Mon, 29 Oct 2012

A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.

Leno chooses his top 10 Mustangs

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

He may be a few months late to the party, but in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, Jay Leno has delivered a short video in which he runs down which of the Blue Oval's pony cars from the past 50 years are his favorites.
The list is pretty darn similar to our own, with some of the big names from the Mustang's half century making an appearance, while there are three or four cars here that we think you'll be pretty surprised by.
Take a look below for this short video from Jay Leno's Garage.

Ford unveils its facelifted Falcon finale with new XR8

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

While its days may be numbered, Ford isn't just going to let its Falcon sedan limp out for the Australian market. No, the Blue Oval is releasing a refreshed Falcon for its final years, and it's lead by this, the new XR8. That's right, this dead-car-driving is going to go out on a high note.
Ford's global design DNA dominates the looks of the new Falcon, with a grille reminiscent of the US market Fusion and the European-market Mondeo. The headlights aren't a straight port, and boast their own unique LED running light pattern (at least on the XR8), but the overall look is strikingly similar. Out back, LED taillights highlight the rear of the Faclon. Despite the substantial new fascia, this is still a mid-cycle refresh. That means most of the rest of the Falcon's body panels are carryovers from the current model.
The XR8 model, shown above, arrives with a supercharged V8, allegedly displacing 5.0 liters. Unfortunately, details on the Falcon's mechanicals are in remarkably short supply. Ford has committed to a range of turbocharged four, as well as turbocharged and naturally aspirated six-cylinders, in addition to the V8, although specifics on those mills aren't available.
