Here for sale is my 1993 Ford Mustang LX V8 5.0 hatchback in great condition, this is as original as you can get in one of these, including original paint, wheels etc...however it's an used car with no warranty, and no returns accepted... lots of fun to drive...I'm a 41 year old guy, I don't race and take very good care of my cars(check my feedback), so did the previous owner, and the ones before which he knew from the same town... I'm only selling it cause I want to put the money into my 73 Mustang project... many new or fresh parts(have less than 8000 miles), drives and sounds great...I just put an OEM Ford motor racing performance clutch, steeda billet aluminum quadrant, steeda wall adjuster and steeda clutch cable, I just didn't like the self adjusting plastic clutch quadrant and components that come from factory, so I put the high end OEM components, performs a lot better...I still have the old parts in good working condition and will send them to the buyer though...put a new battery, new alternator, not rebuilt...previous owner did the front end alignment, new tires, new brakes, new wipers, new rack and pinion, front and rear shocks, flow master dual exhaust, stainless steel tips, bbk cold air intake, new fuel pump, filter and fuel regulator...always up to date oil change, pioneer radio cd player and speakers with remote control...all original paint no accidents, it has a few dings and scratches, and a small dent in the front of the hood and one in the bottom driver rear fender...all minor stuff, you can see in the pics, no rust, I sprayed a rust converter in a few scratch places to prevent rust, they look a little darker in the pics...everything works great in this car including the cold AC, the only thing that stopped working a few days ago, was the power lucks, it sound like if it's working but it won't engage the luck, I think something it might have gotten disconnected inside(it works manually though)...I will accept payment in the form of bank transfer, cashier's check or cash in person, I will send you the tittle as soon as payment is cleared, while you arrange pick up, or the car is being shipped to you...(I used a broker when I brought it from West Virginia, and also when I got my 73 Mustang, they are in California and are very professional, here is their info just in case, Christa and Bernie Schauf (760)733-3488) bid with confidence this cars are rare to find in this original unmolested shape...thanks...

Ford to update Sync, MyFord Touch software... again
Wed, 07 Aug 2013Ford hasn't had the best luck with its MyFord Touch and Sync systems, as the finicky infotainment system has been subject to a critical whooping while customer issues have helped sink Ford's IQS scores. The automaker has made a concerted effort, though, to try and fix MyFord Touch. And while the results have been mixed, The Blue Oval is hoping its latest free update, set to go live next week, will make things better.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the new system promises streamlined voice commands with fewer levels between opening query and actual result. Ford is also addressing where certain options are selected on the touchscreen. Rather than working one of the four quadrants on the homescreen, users will be able to select anywhere within the quadrant to make adjustments.
While it might only be a band-aid for MFT's problems, the fact that Ford is still trying to improve it is a promising sign. It's going to take more than just this update to address the system's ills, though.
Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California
Wed, 31 Jul 2013In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.

Ford Transit production fires up, American Pickers among first takers
Wed, 30 Apr 2014Not long ago, the History Channel showed a seemingly unending stream of World War II documentaries, but it made a switch a few years ago to include an increasing mix of 'reality' programming. American Pickers was one of the early attempts at this new formula, with cameras following hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz around the country in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter as they tracked down collectibles and "rusty gold" for their Iowa shop, Antique Archeology. The show has since gone on to become one of the channel's most popular programs.
Starting in the new episode airing tonight, the affable hosts will swap their Benz for a 2015 Ford Transit, a nicely timed bit of marketing to coincide with the launch of the model's assembly at the Blue Oval's Kansas City Assembly Plant, which also kicks off this week. Ford is touting 2,000 new jobs created as part of its $1.1-billion investment in the plant.
No strangers to product placement, the guys from American Pickers say their switch away from the Sprinter is because they wanted to balance cargo capacity and fuel economy to make the most of their cross-country jaunts. They opted for the largest Transit available with a long wheelbase, extended body and high roof, giving them 487 cubic feet of cargo room. Hauling power comes from a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel engine with 190 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque and a six-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive. Fittingly, the van wears the same Antique Archaeology logo over white paint as their old Sprinter.
