Up for sale is my 2003 Mustang Mach 1 which is in great condition especially for how old it is. VERY LOW miles for a 2003. I have taken very good care of this car over the few years that I have owned it. Always kept it clean and waxed. There is only one noticeable paint chip on the top of the back bumper which I have covered up with touch up paint. You can really only see it up close. I've kept a mustang T-shirt over the driver seat to keep it looking as new and clean as possible but there are a few scratches on it from the previous owner. Other then that the car is cosmetically mint. If you notice in one of the photos the passenger side rain guard is cracked. I have the replacement just haven't found the time to put it on. the Driver side rain guard is brand new.

The car has around 44,500 miles on it however the engine itself only has around 23,000 miles on it. The second motor came directly from Ford and was installed by an expert mechanic.

Very few upgrades were done as to preserve the value of the vehicle. The upgrades include:

BORLA stinger S-type cat back exhaust with 4 inch chrome tips, this is the best possible cat back available for this model mustang and with good reason.

JLT cold air intake to help the engine breath better while still keeping the functionality of the shaker hood. I still have the stock air intake which will go with the vehicle.

SCT 4-Bank Eliminator Chip with 3 tunes for Race, Track, and Street. The fourth tune on the chip is stock and there is also an anti theft option which, when enabled, with make the car not start until switched back. I'll add a picture of the switch that is used to change between tunes soon. All you have to do is turn off the car choose what tune you want and turn the car back on. The chip also came with free tunes for life. Just in case your going to change any mods all you have to do is take the chip out and send it in to bama performance tunes (americanmuscle.com) with specifics on what tunes you would like. I'll also include the socket needed to get into the ecu.

Black rear window louvers - that is what the clips on the back window are for. I took them off and repainted them but never put them back on.

I also have two sets of wheels for the car. The factory wheels have all season tires
Second set of wheels are Chrome Saleen wheels. Fronts are 18 inch and 9 inch wide while the back are 18 inch and 10.5 inches wide with summer tires which makes for that aggressive muscle car stance and incredible handling. The saleen Wheels will only come with the car if it sells for the right price considering they cost about $1,500 with the tires.

Detroit automakers mulling helping DIA avoid bankruptcy looting

Tue, 13 May 2014

It's not really a secret that the city of Detroit is in lots and lots of trouble. Even with an emergency manager working to guide it through bankruptcy, a number of the city's institutions remain in very serious danger. One of the most notable is the Detroit Institute of Arts, a 658,000-square-foot behemoth of art that counts works from Van Gogh, Picasso, Gauguin and Rembrandt (not to mention a version of Rodin's iconic "The Thinker," shown above) as part of its permanent collection.
Throughout the bankruptcy, the DIA has been under threat, with art enthusiasts, historians and fans of the museum concerned that its expansive collection - valued between $454 and $867 million by Christie's - could be sold by the city to help square its $18.5-billion debt.
Now, though, Detroit's hometown automakers could be set to step up and help save the renowned museum. According to a report from The Detroit News, the charitable arms of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler could be set to donate $25 million as part of a DIA-initiated campaign, called the "grand bargain." As part of the deal, the DIA would seek $100 million in corporate donations as part of a larger attempt at putting together an $816-million package that would be paid to city pension funds over 20 years. Such a move would protect the city's art collection from being sold off.

Shelby American cleans house of 14 concept cars

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Typically when an automaker rolls out a concept car or pre-production prototype, it does its tour and then disappears into the company's archives. Maybe it will be displayed for the public to see in the company's own museum or maybe it will spend most of its time under covers in a warehouse somewhere, but every once in a while, an automaker will open up its history and start selling off its concept cars. For Shelby American, "once in a while" has just rolled around.
The House that Carroll Built is moving from its previous headquarters at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a new facility off of the Las Vegas strip, and in the process is liquidating fourteen of the rarest cars in its collection. That presents a tremendous opportunity for muscle car collectors to bring one or more of these snakes home.
As you might expect, the catalog is composed mostly of Mustangs, but not exclusively. There's a pair of 289 Cobras: the last of the 50th anniversary slab-sided continuation cars and an original development vehicle, offered at $200,000 apiece. At the other end of the spectrum you'll find the 2013 Shelby Raptor concept for $125k and Focus concept for $50k. And of course there are the Mustangs.

Your official Ford Transit specs are here, $29,565* to start

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

Ford has released the full list of pricing and specs on its new Transit, the replacement for the long-lived E-Series cargo van. Prices are set to start at $29,565 and can increase rapidly from there, depending on length, engine and wheelbase, among other options.
Let's talk first about those new engines. The base is the familiar 3.7-liter, naturally aspirated V6. It boasts 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and can return up to 14 miles per gallon in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. This engine can also be adapted to run on LPG or compressed natural gas. Of course, there are better alternatives, for a price, the first of which is Ford's well-received, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. It packs 310 hp and a best-in-class 400 lb-ft of torque (available at just 2,500 rpm) while matching the naturally aspirated engine in both city and highway fuel economy.
Then, there's the diesel. With a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel mill at its disposal, the Transit generates 350 lb-ft between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm, along with 185 hp. This engine hasn't been rated by the EPA, although we'd be really, really surprised if it didn't handily best either of the gas-powered engines in fuel efficiency. A six-speed automatic is standard, regardless of engine.
