2007 - Ford Mustang on 2040-cars

I bought this as a salvage car and it had minor front end damage (no frame), looked like it hit a pole at very low speed and set off the driver side airbag, I bought it to turn it into a Shelby GT 500 Clone and if you deceide to put in the 5.4 motor you will have a GT500 as I installed all the other parts and bodywork. To repair the car I had to replace the front bumper, hood, grill, radiator, driver side airbag, seat belts, 1 headlight and the airbag sensor. All of the repairs were done by a professional repair center Color Concepts in Zionsville Indiana, they repainted the entire car as you can tell by the pictures they did a great job. There was zero frame damage and even the horns were untouched, have a mechanic verify. The new parts I bought and had installed to turn it into a GT500 clone include but are not limited to and OEM hood, bumper, headlights, grill, rear bumper, seat covers, rocker panel, springs and struts (full suspension package), instrument custer (bought 2 weeks ago), wheels and tires, Shelby manuals, Bembro brakes and rotors, all aluminum radiator, front and rear spoiler, OEM seat belts, mats, and a Shelby airbag etc. Bought the car for $11K and have almost $19K invested in it, which means sombody will get a hell of a deal. I also had installed a roush supercharger, an alumimum driveshaft, OEM nav system and aftermarket cans. This is one scary fast great sounding muscle car. Gets lots of attention. The only thing I know thats wrong with the car is that one of the tire sensors is malfunctioning. Why am I selling it? the answer is that I dont use it enough and it is sitting in my garage. Next Shelby Mustang to wear GT350 nameplate
Fri, 21 Jun 2013Earlier this month, rumors started to swirl 'round the web about the next-generation Ford SVT Mustang - the halo version of the all-new 2015 'Stang seen testing in the gallery above. Originally, we heard that the Shelby GT500 moniker would be dumped in favor of "a name you're familiar with," which some sources guessed could mean a return of the Cobra nameplate.
That might not be correct. According to Road & Track, citing a report from Mustangs Daily, the new range-topping Mustang will bring back the Shelby GT350 name - currently used on an aftermarket version of Ford's Pony produced by Shelby American (take a look at our recent Quick Spin of that car). Expect the new GT350 to be quite a bit different than the current GT500 - it will be all motor, using a V8 that's derived from the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote engine (though it will no doubt have a higher displacement). The GT350 will be a lot more powerful than the next Mustang GT, which is expected to offer something like 450 horsepower, but won't be quite as absurd as the 662-horsepower GT500 we currently enjoy.
The Shelby GT350 will reportedly bow with the rest of the new Mustang range at the 2014 New York Auto Show, which coincides exactly with the original Mustang's debut at the New York World's Fair in 1964. If that seems far out, don't worry, we'll be seeing the rest of the 2015 Mustang range before then, but Road & Track reports that the 2014 Detroit Auto Show stage will be reserved for the reveal of the next Ford F-150 pickup.
FL man fatally shot after urging driver not to do donuts in a Mustang
Tue, 18 Nov 2014Bradley Holt (pictured), the older half-brother of University of South Florida freshman quarterback Quinton Flowers, was killed in a random act of violence last week.
The 24-year-old Holt was throwing a football around with local kids in Allapattah, a neighborhood in Miami, when a yellow Mustang showed up and started doing donuts in the street. Holt, worried about kids playing in front his apartment complex, walked over to the driver and asked him why he was "driving so crazy with so many kids out here?"
The driver left. Holt's sister said the driver came back "about 15 to 20 minutes later" and fired two shots at Holt. One of them hit Holt in the back of the head, killing him.
Ford celebrates 1 millionth Mustang built at Flat Rock
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Yesterday, the Ford Mustang turned 49 years old, and Ford didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate the one millionth version of the Mustang rolling off the assembly line at the Flat Rock Assembly plant. Production of the Mustang at Flat Rock coincided with the fifth-generation design launching in 2004, and the one millionth car was the car shown above, a 2014 GT convertible painted in Ruby Red.
In total, Ford has sold more than 8.5 million Mustangs since the original car went on sale, but some of the key milestones over the car's nine years at Flat Rock include the Shelby GT-H, Bullitt, Boss 302 and, of course, the 662-horsepower Shelby GT500.
