The horn itself wasn't getting any voltage either when the steering wheel was pushed or when the alarm was chirped. I couldn't find if there were any problems with fuses because my service manual and my owners manual doesn't say anything about a horn fuse. There are a couple dings in the front bumper, one of the many joys of having a lowered car. All in all it looks really good for a car with almost 90k miles!"

Kenne Bell Supercharged, 500+ Rear Wheel Horsepower (that's more than a GT500!!!) Mustang here! 89k miles, I am the second owner, have taken nothing but the best care of this car! It still gets 24MPG on the highway (18 city)! I've installed just about every part on the car myself and have changed the oil with Royal Purple every 5000 miles.
Here's a small list of some of the many mods:

-Stock GT mufflers (doesn't sound stock with all the rest of the mods, you have to hear to understand)

Suspension
-Ford Racing shocks and struts
-Ford Racing "K" lowering springs (complements the shocks and struts)

I hate to see my baby go but I am living overseas now and couldn't take the Mustang with me. Get a car with almost $20,000 in mods CHEAP!

****Just to limit the emails, the only problems with this car are: Horn doesn't work, and is currently removed. I don't know why, it's been this way for some time.

All in all it looks really good for a car with almost 90k miles!

THIS IS A MODIFIED CAR. Keep that in mind. I'm willing to give as much info as I possibly can so you know what you are getting. ***

Cadillac ELR, Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas win Eyes on Design awards

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

This year's annual Eyes on Design awards were presented at the end of press days for the Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday. Given out for the best production and concept car designs that debuted at the show, and voted on by an esteemed panel of actual car designers, this year's award for best production vehicle design went to the 2014 Cadillac ELR. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, which was the show favorite among Autoblog editors, apparently did not impress the Eyes on Design judges enough with its all-new vent-festooned design.
The award for best concept design was actually split as a tie among the Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas concepts. Last year's winners were the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Lexus LF-LC concept.
The Eyes on Design organization also presented a new honor this year called the Catalyst Award to Bob Lutz, former Vice Chairman of General Motors. Lutz is reported to have given a defense of design in his acceptance speech, arguing that advancements in quality across the industry as a whole have made good design a key differentiator for buyers.

eBay Find of the Day: 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra prototype

Wed, 08 May 2013

Over the last decade or so, competition in NASCAR has led to some pretty funky looking racecars. And when the sport was still up and coming, the tight competition actually led to some interesting production cars. The Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird are perhaps the most well-known cars of the sport's "aero wars" era but the Ford Torino King Cobra might have been the most memorable of all, if not for some different homologation rules established in 1970. The Torino King Cobra never made it to production and never competed in NASCAR, but three examples exist including this one now for sale on eBay.
Designed as a successor for the aero-tuned Torino Talladega, the Torino King Cobra has a sleeker front end with hidden headlights and a sloped nose. As the story goes, NASCAR made a rule change in 1970 requiring 3,000 of the vehicles to be produced, which was substantially more than the 500 units required by the previous rule. One of the three prototypes ever built - and the only one built with the Boss 429 engine - is now for sale on eBay with a starting bid of $500,000. With a little more than three days left on the auction there are still no bids, but in the grand scheme of things this seems like a relatively fair price for a rare piece of automobile and racing history.

This unique '64 Mustang was Edsel Ford II's first car

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

You probably had the same dream when you were a teenager. Your sixteenth birthday is coming up, or Christmas, or maybe both, and all you want is a muscle car to call your own. That dream has come true for some, and one of them was none other than Edsel Ford II.
Henry Ford's great grandson turned 16 on December 27, 1964 - two days after Christmas and eight months after the original Mustang went on sale. And that's just what was waiting for him in the driveway, courtesy of his father (and reigning chief executive) Henry Ford II.
The specially-prepared pony car had a pearlescent cream paintjob with narrow blue racing stripes, functional hood scoop, chrome trim, Euro-spec fender-mounted mirrors, a blue leather and aluminum interior, a monogrammed fuel cap... and a 289-cubic-inch V8 under the hood.
