Up for auction is my immaculate 2007 Shelby GT. This car has been babied it's whole life. Garage kept from day one. This car is a little more unique in that it has the desirable gray interior coupled with the Shaker1000 audio system. Of the 5651 producted in 07 only 141 cars are like this. This makes it fairly rare overall.
This car was bought from Lawerenceville Ford in NJ. and driven back to Florence AL. I bought the car from the original owner with just over 800miles. I then drove it home to Va Beach and put the balance of miles on the
Shelby Package: Ford sent black/white Mustang GT's to Shelby American in Las Vegas. There, the cars were upfitted with suspension ,engine, special badging, special silver stripes and hood scoop. Once complete, the cars were provided a CSM# (Carroll Shelby Manufacturing) A special baged is affixed in the interior and engine bay. This was similiar to what Shelby American did back in the 60's Shelby's. Don't get this confused with the current GT500's are basically a product of Ford's SVT division. They have the Shelby name but Shelby American does not touch the car.
History:car. The mileage is fully documented.
Stripe/Hood Scoop recall. While under warranty, I had the car re-striped, new hood scoop, and sill plates. The result is much better. All parts came from Shelby.
I have all the original paperwork and books. They come with the car. The original tires are like new. I added some aftermarket tires to keep these in good shape. The interior is like new and even smells new. I have the original floor mats which were kept out of the car and not used.
MSRP $ 42,999
My reserve is very reasonable and below market value. This is a fun investment, fairly cheap to insure and operate. I don't really see these dropping in value much more. As people start to realize what they are, they should increase in value for the blue chip cars.

Ford F-150 bumps Camry from top of Cars.com American Made Index
Tue, 25 Jun 2013With July 4th just around the corner, what better time could there be for Cars.com to announce that the Ford F-150 is the Most American car of 2013? This may be especially true since it was the Toyota Camry, a car produced by a company based in Japan, that had held the top spot from 2009 to 2012.
Cars.com compiles its Most American list by considering the amount of parts each vehicle uses that come from America, where it's final assembly takes place and how many units per year are sold. "While the assembly point and domestic parts content of the F-150 didn't change from 2012-2013, vehicle sales are responsible for bumping the F-150 to the top spot," according to Patrick Olsen, Editor-in-Chief of Cars.com.
As far as automakers go (as opposed to individual models), Toyota retains the top spot it held in 2012, with General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and Honda (in that order) rounding out the list. The motivation behind this list each year, according to Olsen, is "to help car shoppers understand that 'American-Made' extends beyond just the Detroit three" and because "a study we conducted in 2012 indicated that 25 percent of shoppers surveyed preferred to buy American."
Has the 2015 Ford Mustang gained hundreds of pounds?
Sun, 01 Jun 2014Automakers face competing interests when it comes to developing a new generation of vehicle. On the one hand, companies want to build their cars to be safer and better handling, with more equipment and maybe even larger dimensions over the model it's replacing. On the other hand, they strive to keep weight down to the benefit of both performance and fuel consumption. Usually something has to give, and in the case of the new 2015 Ford Mustang, those efforts may have resulted in a weight penalty of two or three hundred pounds.
This according to Blue Oval modifier Steeda Autosports, which states that "the 2015 Mustang ended up gaining 200-300 pounds in this remake". Despite the Mustang not being on the market yet, it would appear the leading Ford aftermarketer has been given early access to the 2015 model to help jumpstart its tuning efforts (a rather common development among trusted tuners). If Steeda's assertion is accurate, that would make the challenge of getting the new pony car up to speed for both Ford and aftermarket customizers like Steeda that much greater.
We're waiting for official word from Ford on the veracity of Steeda's claim, but if true, it's bound to be a bit of disappointing news for legions of Blue Oval performance enthusiasts. Watch this space for more.
2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid
Thu, 02 May 2013No Prius Killer
As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.
