This auction is for a beautiful 1966 Mustang Fastback 2+2 that I have owned for the last 4 years. Has been perfectly cared for and garage kept. If you are looking for a really high quality, lazer straight driver, you have found it. Very original with a few upgrades. Original wheels, interior, glass, badging, etc. AC has been added and blows very cold. White exterior, black interior, original 289 w/ 2 bbl that is in perfect condition...no leaks, squeeks, etc...starts up and runs out great. Automatic trans shifts perfectly.
Absolutely no rust anywhere. Has spent it's entire life in Southeast...originally Arkansas car. Body and paint work performed at Hot Rod Shop in Corinth, MS. This car has won several local shows and is a real stunner.
There are only 2 areas that keep this car from being perfect. There are 2 small spots on
passenger side (as shown in pics)
I hate to sell this car, but I am opening a custom guitar shop. Equipment is expensive, and I need to raise some funds.
I am glad to answer any questions - Tim (256)412-3737

Ford, Samsung shack up to bring regen braking to non-hybrid models [w/video]
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Ford must be desperate to get itself ready for the beach this summer because it is really trying to get into shape. Shortly after unveiling the Lightweight Concept that cut the weight of a Fusion down to that of a Fiesta, it's now the rest of the line's turn for improvement. The company is wrapping up a 10-year research project aimed at developing next-gen automotive batteries to improve efficiency.
Ford claims that 70 percent of its lineup will have stop/start tech by 2017. The key to this massive proliferation is its new dual-battery system that combines a lithium-ion battery with a lead-acid one and regenerative braking. The setup works by harvesting braking energy and converting it to electricity. When the vehicle stops, the engine shuts off, but the Li-ion battery has enough juice to keep the accessories running. The engine starts up again as drivers take their foot off the brake. The layout would mean less wasted gas while idling. It's already available on Ford hybrids and is somewhat similar to the i-Eloop capacitor-based system from Mazda.
The bigger challenge is tuning the regenerative braking right. While hybrid drivers may be a little more adventurous, when it comes to getting a hang of regen braking, conventional buyers might not be so open-minded. The systems have a tendency to be a little grabby at first and then taper off at very low speeds. Ford needs to make sure it's just right to avoid turning off buyers.

Ford Everest Concept shows China also has an affinity for big trucks
Mon, 21 Apr 2014The Ford Everest Concept SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show shows the future of the Blue Oval's truck line in China. While a concept for now, we're told that JMC, Ford's Chinese joint-venture partner, will build a production version sometime in the near future.
With design from Ford's Asia Pacific design team, the handsome seven-passenger SUV shows off some very muscular styling with wraparound headlights that hook into the contours of the angular trapezoidal grille. The beltline rises up the body in the rear and makes the back appear higher than the front. The rear is made from hard, chiseled contours that give the truck a very tough look. The Everest looks ready for some rough roads.
Ford is keeping the interior and mechanical details about the Everest a secret for now, but the SUV is rumored to share some components with the overseas Ranger pickup. The company has no plans to sell the truck in North America. Scroll down to read the official announcement, including the few details on its production.
