This 34 Fordis powered by a 1970 model Chevy 350ci V8 - 30 over , 327-300 heads with stockcam and lifters. The 350 is topped off with an Edelbrock intake, and EdelbrockCarb. A 350 transmission, and Chevrolet 10 bolt rear end complete the drivetrain. It has a Mustang II front end. A complete Hyper Cool air and a Walker Radiator. Front disk ,and rear drum brakes. The body is allsteel, fitted with Fiberglass Fenders. It has beautiful Viper Red paint. Verystrait body. The car drives and handles very nice. It has been to local carshows and enjoyed by its owner. In overall amazing condition. I will answerquestions and urge you to come have a look at what you are bidding on. I haveincluded as many pictures as possible to show the condition. Ford lowers MPG ratings on six vehicles
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Ford has announced that it will be lowering the fuel economy ratings on a number of its 2013 and 2014 model year vehicles after an error was discovered in the company's internal testing data. The EPA has been notified.
Worryingly for Ford, the vast majority of the vehicles affected are hybrids, including the C-Max, Fusion and MKZ in both hybrid and plug-in varieties (where applicable). Also covered as part of the rerating is the entire lineup of 2014 Fiesta engines, with the exception of the ST, including the turbocharged, three-cylinder EcoBoost.
The C-Max was originally rated at 47/47/47 mpg, but dropped to 43/45/40 last year and now to 40/42/37.
Next SVT Mustang may axe Shelby name, go naturally aspirated
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Following our first glimpse at the 2015 Ford Mustang out on the road, the fine folks at Road and Track have divulged some details on what the Blue Oval's next pony might have in store. We've already seen that the car will get some very sleek, Evos-inspired design cues, and an independent rear suspension is indeed in store. These new details, however, concern the muscle car's beating heart.
For starters, the base Ford coupe is expected to carry on with V6 power, likely from the same 3.7-liter unit found in today's car. From there, R&T says the next step up will be a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, likely displacing 2.3 liters, putting out as much as 350 horsepower. Of course, a Mustang wouldn't be a Mustang without V8 thrust, and R&T states that the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 will continue on into the 2015 car, making something like 450 horsepower.
But it's at the high end of the Mustang range where things will, reportedly, get very, very interesting. Road & Track claims that the top-shelf 'Stang will likely lose the supercharger from its engine, producing a metric crap-ton of naturally aspirated grunt instead. Additionally, the SVT-fettled Mustang will likely be dropping its Shelby moniker, in favor of "a name you're familiar with," according to the magazine (you know, like, Cobra).
