1941 Ford Pick up.  Nice solid body.  The truck is not running.  The truck is a great restoration or street rod project.  It has a non running flathead V-8 with a manual transmission closed drive shaft and rear end.  The truck is very solid with a few pin holes in the floor board, the stack pocket in front passenger side is rusted through at bottom, a few small holes in the front cowl of cab passenger side under fender.  The truck is all steel, running boards are very nice, fenders have a few small metal patches welded in, cab corners are good, and the windshield top passenger side has a small rust through area.  I photographed all of these area so that you can clearly see what the problem areas are.  They are easy fixes.  The engine was partially disassembled by the previous owner.  (It is free)  The transmission also has the top cover off it, and it has no lube in it.  The rear tires currently don't roll.  I think it is stuck in gear.  I also have a 1946 Ford Coupe frame that goes with truck if you want it.  The 46 frame has a manual transmission, closed drive shaft and rear end, and hydraulic brake backing plates.  This pick up would make an awesome street rod.  The truck has a clear title, but it is titled as a 1942 Ford.  VIN on the tag on firewall and a the tag on the engine match the number on the title.  This is an excellent project.  I have the door glass, window regulators, door latches, door handles, and door access panel covers, along with some assorted engine pieces for the truck.  What you see is what you get.  A very cool all steel Ford pick-up. Only bid if you plan on purchasing this vehicle and have the money in hand.  Thanks for looking.

I did get the truck rolling so it will be easier for shippers or potential buyers to load and unload.  Hopefully this will be a help for concerned parties who are interested in purchasing truck.  I make be of help in transporting truck if you are not to far away.  I have a truck and trailer and could possibly help for a fair cost.  Just putting that out there for concerned buyers.  Thanks for all the interest in the truck it gonna make someone a very nice ride.

Chrysler called out over lackluster Ram Runner by racer who helped develop it

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

Fans of off-roading and desert blasting might recall that Chrysler offers an aftermarket conversion that can turn a Ram 1500 into a road-legal desert racer, called the Ram Runner. The kit, sold through Mopar, includes some significant suspension upgrades, body tweaks and a brawnier cat-back exhaust for the truck's 5.7-liter V8.
Considering all of this, comparisons with the almighty Ford F-150 SVT Raptor are common. Among the off-road community, that makes these two a sort of Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang for people that prefer driving on dirt. In the Race-Dezert forum, the discussion as to which truck was better was proceeding as normal - Ram fans said their piece and Ford fans said theirs. Then, a man named Kent Kroeker offered up his two cents.
See, Kroeker is a Baja racer, and the man that helped develop the Ram Runner. Despite his association with the truck, though, he had some less than kind words for Chrysler and the Ram Runner.

2015 Ford Mustang to offer solid-rear axle, sort of

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

One of the biggest knocks against the last Ford Mustang was its solid-rear axle. Not one to actively court criticism, Ford dutifully swapped out the old-fashioned rear end for something a bit more modern in the redesigned 2015 Mustang, adding an independent rear suspension across the board.
While an IRS Mustang is great news for those that value handling and ride comfort, there's one big group that it's bad news for - drag racers. See, a solid-rear axle is a big deal for drag racers, because not only is it more durable and cheaper, but it's better for the hard launches that can make or break a race.
To satiate this vocal demographic, Ford will sell a body-in-white version of the Stang, complete with a nine-inch rear axle, that will debut at the 2014 Performance Racing Industry show. The news came from gas2.org, which cited an unnamed employee of Ford Racing at this year's PRI show.

Raptor, Excursion, Texas And Hennessey
Each of those words are synonyms for big and bold - combine all four and you've got one of the largest, most powerful and robust street-going sport utility vehicles in the world.
John Hennessey is a Texas-based tuner known for creating some of the fastest and most capable cars on the planet. Over the past two decades, machines like the Viper Venom 550, Ford GT 1000 Twin Turbo, HPE 700 LS9 Camaro and the almighty Venom GT have emerged from the Hennessey Performance garage. And those are just the celebrated flagships; the company has modified thousands of other street cars including those from Audi, Bentley, Cadillac, Ferrari, Ford, Porsche and Toyota, to name a few.
