This is a "One of A Kind" 1947 Ford Pickup Truck. With over 2000 hours of restoration and a great imagination, this truck came alive again. From the front grill to the battery box in the back, you wont find another one like it. This is a truck that will keep you speechless for hours, trying to find every little detail in the paint, interior, and box. From the roar of the 347 stroker or the Lime Gold paint job, people will know its you coming down the road. Dont think this thing is a trailer queen either, with the aluminum heads and dual carbs, it can hold its own on the strip. Continuing on down the all ford driveline the engine is backed by a C6 transmission and Ford 9" with 4.10 gears. Thats just the beginning, you open the door to an all white interior with old style race buckets and early days roll bar. NO creativity was spared on the old skool pinstripping to match the dash and lace in the paint. When you get up underneath the truck, it looks better than new. With a painted silver straight front axle and a custom ladder bar setup you will never forget, it looks like it just came off of the showroom floor. The S/S cragars and the cheater slicks on the back, set this truck off just right. Not only has this truck been in a calender, but also in a full page spread in Car Kulture Deluxe magazine. Words cannot describe what it took to make this truck what it is today!!

Shelby American cleans house of 14 concept cars
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Typically when an automaker rolls out a concept car or pre-production prototype, it does its tour and then disappears into the company's archives. Maybe it will be displayed for the public to see in the company's own museum or maybe it will spend most of its time under covers in a warehouse somewhere, but every once in a while, an automaker will open up its history and start selling off its concept cars. For Shelby American, "once in a while" has just rolled around.
The House that Carroll Built is moving from its previous headquarters at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a new facility off of the Las Vegas strip, and in the process is liquidating fourteen of the rarest cars in its collection. That presents a tremendous opportunity for muscle car collectors to bring one or more of these snakes home.
As you might expect, the catalog is composed mostly of Mustangs, but not exclusively. There's a pair of 289 Cobras: the last of the 50th anniversary slab-sided continuation cars and an original development vehicle, offered at $200,000 apiece. At the other end of the spectrum you'll find the 2013 Shelby Raptor concept for $125k and Focus concept for $50k. And of course there are the Mustangs.
Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).
Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]
Wed, 04 Jun 2014
The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
