This rare beauty is a 1951 Ford Panel Truck. It will amaze you at how well it runs with a rebuilt 302 V-8 engine, C-4 automatic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, and air conditioning. It actually handles more like a late model Ford pickup because of the Chrysler front clip with torsion bar suspension. The body is all steel including the original running boards. The exterior finish looks great. The black bumpers, grill and front hood trim have just recently been painted. All of the glass, handles, bezels and trim is in excellent shape. The engine compartment is completely detailed. You will notice all new hoses, belts, wires, etc., including new chrome valve covers and air cleaner. The gray cloth interior is near mint with matching carpet and headliner. The inside walls are vinyl covered, tight and straight. It has a tilt steering column, Pioneer am/fm/cd stereo with remote, after market center console, and 3 gauge Sunpro cluster mounted below the dash, which has been extended for the air conditioning controls and vents. The undercarriage is solid and rust free. The dual exhaust rumbles perfectly. The Firestone wide whitewall tires look great on the factory Ford wheels with center caps and beauty rings. This is a great looking piece for any old Ford collection!

eBay Find of the Day: Mk1 Ford GT40 with interesting history

Sat, 03 May 2014

You might expect a rare Ford GT40 to cross the block at some sort of prestigious auto auction from RM or Gooding, not show up on eBay for over $2 million. However, that's exactly what we have here. The seller claims the car is a late-build Mk1 GT40 from 1969, and it's currently owned by the director of the Hublot watch company in Switzerland.
According to the listing, GT40 #P1108 started life as Mk1 car that was built from factory spares in 1969 and was first sold in 1971. However, the auction is somewhat confusing. According to an image in its gallery, the vehicle was actually built from one of the seven spare Mk3 tubs when production of the iconic racers ended.
This GT40 was never built as a racecar - it lived on the streets its whole life. After assembly finished, it was sent to Germany and was eventually registered for the road. The first owner kept the car until 2005 and sold it with 7,300 miles on the odometer. The current owner bought it in 2012.

Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.

2015 Roush Mustang lineup officially revealed

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

Just last week, Saleen revealed initial details of its tuning program for the new Ford Mustang. And now Roush is following suit.
Available in three stages - based on the V6 (RS), EcoBoost (RS1) and V8 (RS2) models - the 2015 Roush Mustangs all feature the venerable Ford tuner's latest R7 aero kit complete with remodeled fascia, five-blade grille, gaping air dam with integrated driving lamps and splitter. Around back there's a one-piece deck spoiler and "race-inspired lower aero-valance."
