1952 Ford F-1 4x4 Truck Back Up For Sale Again Another Bogus Bidder on 2040-cars
Pueblo, Colorado, United States
I'm selling my 1952 Ford F-1 4x4. I bought the truck a year ago and all it was was a painted shell with a 350 that barely ran. Since then I have wired, plumbed, replaced the drivetrain except the engine, and installed the interior. Drivetrain parts: new mad dog 700r4 non electric trans, rebuilt transfer, new driveshaft, new shocks, new brakes, new steering box , new power steering pump, new alternator, new water pump, new flexlite fan with 3 in spacer, new cold air intake, new edelbrock performer intake, rebuilt quadrajet carb , new battery, new electric fuel pump. Interior/exterior parts: All new glass except drivers door cracked, new wing windows and felt, new window cranks, fat cat dynamat, new carpet, new cd player amp and speakers, new vintage air heater/defroster, new wiper motor , arms and blades, new steering wheel. The entire cab was dynamatted before any interior was installed. It also comes with 5 brand new falken tires and rims, custom spare tire holder and a metal storage box in the bed. There are a couple of bad things. The bed has dings in the floor from being used and the front clip was made into a one piece tilt by the previous owner and when they did the body work it wasn't to good so you can see where there are a couple of lines in the front fenders, also the door poppers need adjusted. I'M sure I forgot something just email me and I will answer as soon as I can. Due to the fact that the winning bidder was a turd, I am having to relist. There is over 4000 dollars worth of brand new parts in the truck not counting the vehicles worth alone. This time I AM GOING NO RESERVE to show I am a serious seller. The only reason that I am selling this truck is I need a bigger cab for the family. IF I could I would keep it this has always been my dream truck. So for sure my loss is someone's gain good luck. If you don't have money please don't waste each other's time.
On Sep-12-14 at 19:08:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to help clear the condition of the truck. Overall it is in good condition. No known or seen rust there are spots through out that rocks and what not have hit the truck. I did not do the body work or paint I bought from a guy who had just got it done. At least thats what I was told. I can say that when the guy made the one piece front clip the is wear on the body where the hood rests and the is a couple of lines in the front fenders where the weight of the steel pieces have caused the lines in the paint. Thats why I am not expecting crazy money this is not a show truck. But a good ole set of wheel you can jump in to get the job done. But on the othet hand I dont want to giveit away. I figure the money it would cost in body work is all you need to spend since mechanically the truck is brand new minus the bottom end of the engine. The truck runs and drives, I use it to go all over town. The four wheel drive even works. If you buy this truck it is a get in and drive the only work needed is to adjust the automatic door poppers that I installed, other than that enjoy the ride |

Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy
Sun, 31 Aug 2014Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).
Spy shooter claims proof of upcoming aluminum Ford F-Series Super Duty
Thu, 26 Jun 2014Ford has already confirmed that the 2015 F-150 (pictured above) was just the beginning for its more extensive use of aluminum. CEO Alan Mulally said it himself during the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. We've even already seen the future Raptor testing with an aluminum body. But a recent discovery from an intrepid spy photographer might indicate that the lightweight metal is coming to the Blue Oval's Super Duty pickups in their upcoming generation, as well.
According to Automotive News, a spy shooter in Colorado spotted a prototype for the next-gen F-350 testing. He happened to have a magnet on hand and got close enough to check the truck out. When he held it up to the metal in the bed, it didn't stick, which signaled to him a switch from steel to aluminum.
Obviously, this claim raises some questions. Given that it was a test vehicle, one possibility is that the Blue Oval is just evaluating the feasibility of switching to aluminum for the Super Duty trucks, not necessarily committed to it yet. Ford has been testing it quite exhaustively, after all. In fact, much of the rest of the truck in question was covered in camouflage, so it's possible that the magnet failed to work along the rest of the body not because it was aluminum, but because it wasn't powerful enough to get through the disguising material. Thus, the lightweight metal's use could be far less substantial than on the new F-150. Still, it was a clever idea for the cameraman to check things out and might have given us the first hint about brand's next heavy-duty models.
