Ford F550 Lariat Super Duty on 2040-cars
Portage, Michigan, United States
I used this truck for the past three years to haul campers and yachts on uship.com and out of Indiana. The previous owner used it to haul a CDL trailer loaded with block foam to Canada. I have put a lot of money into getting rid of the problems of the 6.0 with after market parts from diesel shops around the country.
300 Miles ago: Replaced the head studs, gaskets and injectors. 3000 Miles ago: Replaced the tires, oil cooler and pump, turbo, and installed an EGR delete kit. 98,000 Miles ago: Replaced motor with a fresh rebuilt one. This truck is ready to roll and make money. It comes with a 30k fifth wheel hitch and a Titan class 4 tow hitch. I just don't haul for a living anymore. The way this truck is setup, is not practical for my family to use on a daily basis. I also still have all the original lighting and grill that will go with it. I have a mid-mount fuel tank that can go, as well as a 55 gallon aluminum semi tank that I was going to mount some day. I will also include brand new polymer fenders and mounting brackets to fully wrap the rear wheels ($500 value never been used). I learned that you don't have to use the most expensive oil out there. You just have to maintain it with these motors and you will have no issues. Send me a message if you want more info or pics. Shipping will be worked out depending on purchase price. I am willing to work with you. Thanks. |

Ford of Europe celebrates Mondeo's 20th anniversary
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Ford's European operations are celebrating a milestone of sorts as the Mondeo, the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter D-segment sedan in the old country, celebrates its 20th anniversary. The mid-sizer, which was sold in the US for a short time as the Contour, has been a far more popular vehicle in Europe - even receiving regular praise from one Jeremy Clarkson.
Narrated by Cockney actor Ray Winstone, the video goes through the Mondeo's years and how it's evolved from 1993 to the as-yet-unreleased fifth-generation model, which is essentially the same as the Ford Fusion that's sold in America. Take a look below for the full video from Ford of Europe.
2015 Ford Mustang GT [w/video]
Fri, 19 Sep 2014At 50 years old, the object of fantasies, a tuner's dream, a movie star and more than nine million strong, it couldn't be truer to say that the Ford Mustang needs no introduction. This newest Mustang, however - making the biggest changes we've seen to the pony car since perhaps 1964.5 - is something Ford has been introducing all year.
We went on a Deep Dive, covered the way it looks when it was revealed, detailed the engine specs, got a ride in the EcoBoost and listened to the V8, got rolling footage and watched it do a standard-feature burnout.
The only thing left to do? Drive it. Having now done so for a few hours around Los Angeles, what we can tell you is to forget everything you know about the Mustang. This new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment.
Ford reveals automated Fusion Hybrid
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Autonomous cars may still be in their infancy, but more and more big names in the auto industry are diving in head first. Nissan is already making strides with a semi-autonomous Leaf EV and General Motors is planning to offer semi-autonomous tech by 2020. And then there's Google, doing its thing with a fleet of Toyota Prius. Now, Ford is showing off its latest automated effort, a driverless Fusion Hybrid.
Partnering with the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and State Farm Insurance, the project is part of Ford's Blueprint for Mobility, the company's plan for transportation beyond 2025. "The Ford Fusion Hybrid automated vehicle represents a vital step toward our vision for the future of mobility," Chairman Bill Ford said. "We see a future of connected cars that communicate with each other and the world around them to make driving safer, ease traffic congestion and sustain the environment."
The automated Fusion features four LiDAR infrared sensors that scan the road 2.5 million times every second, using a principle similar to the echolocation used by dolphins or bats. Using the infrared light emitted by the LiDAR, the car can draw a picture of everything within 200 feet to create a map of its surroundings. According to Ford, the sensors are able to tell the difference between a paper bag and a small animal from a football field away.
