 1993 Ford Probe

This is an excellent running classic vehicle I hate to part with as I have made many upgrades but I have a baby and the car just isn't baby friendly, no room.

Car is driven daily and has high mileage on body but the engine was recently installed.
Car has some cracks in the dash as is common for a vehicle of this age. Front seat could use some stitching and some deep cleaning.

I have had the car in a couple of car shows and have gotten high remarks for the condition of this classic Ford Probe

Things Added:
Short Speed Shifter
Exhaust system with glaspac mufflers
Cold Intake system
Custom Shift boot
and few various other small items

In the video there is no hubcaps on the the rims that were painted and clear coated, but the original Ford hubcaps are availible.

The car is actually red the black you see is a coating called "Plasti Dip" which is a spray on coating that peels off. I have painted this car several times with this coating and peeled off. I once had it painted one side black one side red.

This car is being sold as is where is with no implied or written warranty. Pleas feel free to email me with any questions or come by and take it for a test drive.

Buyer is responsible for pickup, delivery is availible up to 100 miles for $2.50 a mile one way. Payment must be made in advance for delivery

Please do not bid if you do not intend to purchase. Your bid is a binding contract.

There is a Youtube video click on link or paste it in you browser page and see for yourself how well this car runs. Don't Pay much attention to the sound Camera does not do video well

New Ford Police Interceptor tech protects cops' backsides

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

It was only a matter of time before law enforcement agencies would realize the potential of driver-assist technology for use in their Ford Police Interceptors, and, now that they have, those back-up cameras and radar systems won't be used just for parking, but for security, as well.
The surveillance mode system works when the camera or radar detects movement from behind the vehicle, and if it does when it's activated, an alarm will alert the officer inside the car, the driver's side window will roll up and the doors will lock, protecting the officer from an unwanted intrusion. The officer, of course, has the option to turn surveillance mode off, mainly in urban areas where pedestrians would constantly set the alarm off, and it can only be activated when the police car is in park.
Randy Freiburger, Ford's police and ambulance fleet supervisor, came up with the patent-pending idea when researching the needs of police officers and riding along with them, during which time he realized officers would be safer with an extra set of eyes watching the area behind their cars, especially at night or when they're completing paperwork, using the in-car computer or handling a radar gun. "Unfortunately, there are people with bad intentions who sneak up on police officers," he says.

Ford recalls select Explorer, E-Series vans

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Just a few days ago we brought you news that Ford had issued a recall on 28,000 units of the Edge crossover for problems related to the fuel line. But now the Blue Oval has issued recall notices on two more of its larger vehicles.
The first relates to the Explorer, 395 examples of which from the 2011 and 2012 model years were found to have problems with their steering systems if they underwent service after September 1, 2013. An apparent software glitch could lock the steering gear, preventing the driver from steering the vehicle and thereby increasing the risk of a crash. As a result, Ford dealers are being instructed to check their records to identify the problematic vehicles and bring them in to have the steering gear replaced. Details of the recall can be found in the PDF linked here.
The second problem revolves around E-Series vans that may develop bubbles in their windshields under hot temperatures. The decrease in visibility through the problematic windshield could - you guessed it - "increase the risk of a crash." As a result, Ford is calling in 4,532 units of the E-150, E-250, E-350 and E-450 vans built in the relatively short window between May 12 and May 26, 2011. Details of this recall can be found in the notice below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
