1973 Ford Ranchero GT
This is an all origional 73 Ranchero GT that has been inside for a long time. I purchased from the origional owner. Car runs and drives Great. Was not neglected. Battery was charged and had been started every so often and moved around. The car/Truck has origional paint with exception of a couple of places. Both rear quarters were painted from stripe down back in early 80's have reciepts for that. There is rusted through places behind both rear wheels. No more holes rusted through in car. Body is very straight with nothing more than a ding here and there maybe 5 or so. Worst one being on the hood about the size of a half dollar. Car has had the camper shell on it since new. Also has carpet back there, that if removed would be a dent free bed that would slick out nicely. Camper is "ugly" but i wanted to leave it on so that it would be with car.
Car has 429 4V engine with auto transmission. Does not smoke, or have any blowback from valve cover. Transmission shifts good as it should. Power steering leaks fluid very bad from a hose that needs replacing. Has power brakes, and is an air conditioned car. Belt is off of A/C compressor but compressor is NOT locked up.
Interior is completely origional with floor mats made into the carpet. Looped carpet is fuzzed up on drivers side from getting in and out. Seats are good with a little wear and tear on drivers seat. Dash is perfect, door panels are dried out but look ok they would need attention. Headliner has a couple of places where the stitching has come out, about 4 or 5 inches long. Does have the curtain that covers up spare tire and storage area behind seats and it is in good condition. Spare tire and all of the jack and assesories are there.
Tires have been on the car since, he said 82. They have almost new tread but are dry rotted and would need replaced. I bought the car and washed and vaccumed interior. Did not wax or polish exterior or Armor All interior, as not to cause any problems for a body shop. Car would make excelent project for restore or fix a few things and drive as is. There is nothing missing from car or added to car except trailer hitch. No surprises from something being covered up.
You are welcome to come and look at car before bidding. I am selling with NO RESERVE. At auction end buyer must pay a $500 deposit though PayPal with the balance due at pick up. CASH or CASHIER CHECK
CAR COMES WITH BILL OF SALE, AS TITLES DO NOT APPLY IN ALABAMA PRIOR TO 1975. HOWEVER I DO HAVE A UTAH CERTIFICATE OF TITLE THAT WAS ISSUED WHEN CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW

Ford dealer loses Super Bowl bet, pays $300K to lucky customers [w/video]
Tue, 11 Feb 2014A Missouri Ford dealership's Super Bowl weekend sale cost it big when the improbable happened. Hutcheson Ford ran a promotion from January 29 to February 1, called the Super Weekend Sale. The gist was, if any customer purchased a vehicle between those dates and either the opening or second-half kickoff of the big game was returned for a touchdown, the dealership would refund the purchase price.
In the dealership's defense, it seemed like a safe bet. According to the mathematicians, there was just a 2.5-percent chance of either half opening with a touchdown return. But that didn't stop Seattle's Percy Harvin from doing his part to ruin Denver's evening, returning the second-half kick for an 87-yard touchdown run. Twelve Hutcheson customers were eligible for refunds thanks to the return, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $55,000, according to Automotive News. The total amount shelled out by the dealership? $300,000.
"At least we're not like that furniture guy that lost $7 million," dealership marketing manager Kathleen Frazier told AN. We think it was a big success." The dealership did take out insurance to cover its losses, meaning the $300K won't come entirely from its pockets.
Ford's Mulally makes shortlist for Microsoft CEO
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Ford CEO Alan Mulally has made the short list to take over tech giant Microsoft, lending further credence to rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would ditch Dearborn and move to Redmond.
The report comes from Reuters, which claims that alongside Mulally, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and three candidates from within Microsoft are on the short list to succeed Steve Ballmer at the company's helm, although previous reports claim the Ford exec is the number one candidate. Mulally is currently working without a contract, although Bill Ford seems to believe that he isn't likely to depart. Despite this belief, Ford was quoted just last month talking about the depth of talent on the Blue Oval's executive team.
"There is no change from what we announced last November. Alan remains fully focused on continuing to make progress on our One Ford plan. We do not engage in speculation," said Ford spokesman Jay Cooney.
Watch NASCAR racer Brad Keselowski do a burnout... in a hotel conference room
Fri, 08 Mar 2013A vast majority of hotels frown upon smoking inside the building these days, but Brad Keselowski doesn't follow the rules. During his introduction at the 2013 MiilerCoors Distribution Convention, the reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion smoked the tires of his Miller-sponsored Ford Fusion stock car, adding a pair of thick, black stripes to the carpeting of the Marriott World Center's conference room.
This definitely isn't a high-quality video, but it's the perfect vantage point to watch Keselowski lay down some rubber and receive a well-deserved standing ovation after pulling up in front of the crowd. Check out the short-but-sweet video posted below.
