Two 1962 Rancheros One With 289 4 Spd. One With 429 V-8 on 2040-cars
Tullahoma, Tennessee, United States
Two 1962 Falcon Rancheros Black car has a 289 v-8 with a 4 spd. trans and 9" rear. Engine runs and trans. shifted fine when I drove car here several years ago. Brakes were bad then and still are. The 289 ran well with no unusual noises or knocks. It has old finned aluminum Edelbrock valve covers, aluminum Edelbrock intake and carb. It also has headers and newer dual exhaust with turbo mufflers. The rear quarters are solid as are the rocker panels and all around tailgate area. The shock towers and core support are solid also. It will need floors all around. I also have with this car a nice front fender (blasted and coated) and a nice door (blasted and coated) to replace the damaged ones on the car. I also have a partial rear floor section and a partial front inner fender panel with battery cove and box of you wish to use them. The red and silver car is a body and tube steel frame only. It has a tube steel frame welded in place to build a gasser/ prostreet or??(nicely done). This car comes with a 1969 429 Ford v-8 engine. (apart minus oil pan and intake). The body shows evidence of earlier rust repair with metal welded in place There are no floors for this car. Body work on outside looks presentable. It includes fenders, doors, hood and bumpers. Also included with this package is a new Crites fiberglass teardrop style hood and fiberglass front bumper. A new fiberglass shifter cover is also with the car. The windshield and back window are good on the red car but the windshield is bad on the black car but the back window is good. We have 2 extra grilles, extra headlight rings and 2 boxes of misc. parts. Included also is a hard to find Ranchero fuel tank (blasted and coated but has some pin holes) Also included is a pair if nice 64 or 65 black Mustang bucket seats. Bring a big truck and take it all for one price!! I also have Titles for both cars. It seems what may be a little rough on one car is good on the other so one pretty nice car can be built out of the pair with extra stuff left over to sell. I will cooperate in any way I can and assist somewhat in loading all but you will need to provide the heavy labor. Both cars need total restoration and are being sold as is where is with no warrantys. A $500.00 non refundable deposit will be required within 24 hours of close of auction. The balance due before or when picking up cars. If payment is made with check or money order of any type sufficient time will be required for clearing before picking up vehicles. A direct bank transfer is the best way |

Mulally will stay close to Ford after he steps down, plans to advise Fields [w/video]
Fri, 27 Jun 2014Ford CEO Alan Mulally has less than a week left in his role of leading the Blue Oval before he hands off duties to Mark Fields on July 1. It doesn't look like Mulally is going to be shuffling off into his retirement anytime soon, though. The 68-year-old is being rather secretive about his next move, but he tells Bloomberg in a recent interview that he plans to stay close to Ford. Also, if Fields wants to ask for any advice, Mulally is happy to help.
Mulally took over at Ford in 2006 and led the company through a seriously rough patch in the auto industry. According to Bloomberg, he became famous or his Thursday meetings where executives were forced to deal with any problems before they could leave. Since announcing his retirement from Ford in May, Mulally has been insuring a smooth transition of power by traveling the world to all of company's major locations and saying goodbye to employees and dealers.
In terms of the future at Ford, Mulally doesn't predict any big changes in management style because the rest of the executive team is staying in place. He believes that Fields is going to maintain the processes already in place to keep things going. After all, it seems to be working. The company is predicting a return to profitability in Europe next year and is opening 88 new dealers in China. If the business could get its recalls under control, things could get even better.
2015 Roush Mustang lineup officially revealed
Thu, 02 Oct 2014
Just last week, Saleen revealed initial details of its tuning program for the new Ford Mustang. And now Roush is following suit.
Available in three stages - based on the V6 (RS), EcoBoost (RS1) and V8 (RS2) models - the 2015 Roush Mustangs all feature the venerable Ford tuner's latest R7 aero kit complete with remodeled fascia, five-blade grille, gaping air dam with integrated driving lamps and splitter. Around back there's a one-piece deck spoiler and "race-inspired lower aero-valance."
2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium
Mon, 28 Oct 2013You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.
