THIS IS A 1983 FORD RANGER WAS DRIVEN BY MY BROTHER INLAW STILL HAS TAGS HE PASSED AWAY AND WE ARE SELLING FROM THE ESTATE HE MOSTLY DROVE TO AREA STORES AND THE LAND FILL AND ERRANDS MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION WORK WELL. OUTSIDE HAS SOME RUST AS YOU CAN SEE. INSIDE IS OK I AM SELLING AS IS WITH NO QURANTEE OF ANY KIND. AS YOU CAN SEE IT WAS READY TO MAKE A TRIP TO THE LANDFILL I WILL TAKE THERE AND UNLOAD. I WILL TELL YOU THAT HE TOLD US SEVERAL WEEKS AGO THAT IT RAN GOOD BUT IT WOULD GET UP TO ABOUT 40 MPH AND WOULD NOT WANT TO GO FASTER SOMEONE SAID IT WAS PROBABLY A FILTER CLOGGED UP. I WILL SAY HE PUT OVER $1000 IN PARTS A COUPLE YEARS AGO BEING A 1983 YOU CAN PUT HISTORIC TAGS ON IT AND IN MD IT NEEDS NO INSPECTION OR EMMISIONS TEST. IT HAS A AM/FM AND MAYBE A CASSETTE I CAN'T REMEMBER. I PUT DOWN 99000 MILES BUT I BELIEVE IT IS LESS I WILL CHECK. IF YOUR FROM MD YOU CAN GET TAGS FROM MY BROTHERS SERVICE CENTER AND DRIVE AWAY AS LONG AS YOU HAVE INS. HE ALSO CHANGED OIL ON TIME AND WOULD TAKE CARE OF ANY PROBLEMS. MUST BE PAID THROUGH PAYPAL BEFORE PICKUP THAT WAY YOU CAN GET AT ANY TIME UP TO 60 DAYS. YOU WILL HAVE 48 HRS TO PAY IN FULL. I DO NOT KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY SMALL LEAKS BUT I KNOW HE DROVE IT UNTILL HE PASSED AWAY. SO WE ARE STARTING AT JUNK PRICE BUT I BELIEVE IT WOULD BE ASHAME BECAUSE IT IS STILL A DECENT LITTLE TRUCK. |

Ford spills SEMA all over its Expeditions
Sat, 01 Nov 2014If you're going to this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, it's going to be tough to miss the Ford booth, simply for its size. The Blue Oval is bringing over a dozen customized examples of the 2015 Mustang and a quintet of modded Transits. The latest announced addition is a trio of upgraded 2015 Expeditions showing different takes on the recently refreshed SUV.
Any vehicle tuned by Dub Magazine needs to ride on massive wheels, and the Expedition (pictured above) that it has for SEMA is no exception. The SUV has 26-inch Dropstars wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires, and, making them look even larger, the suspension is also lowered. The rest of the custom has some mild upgrades like mesh grilles in front, tinted windows, an integrated radar detector and new upholstery inside.
Tijn wants to boost the performance of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 for its take on the Expedition. The company claims to add 40 horsepower to bring total output to a claimed 405 by upgrading the engine with a charge cooler from Vortech Engineering, a custom side exhaust and a custom tune. To match the extra grunt, the SUV also gets bigger brakes, an Air Lift suspension and 24-inch, copper-colored wheels with custom fender flares.
eBay Find of the Day: Mk1 Ford GT40 with interesting history
Sat, 03 May 2014You might expect a rare Ford GT40 to cross the block at some sort of prestigious auto auction from RM or Gooding, not show up on eBay for over $2 million. However, that's exactly what we have here. The seller claims the car is a late-build Mk1 GT40 from 1969, and it's currently owned by the director of the Hublot watch company in Switzerland.
According to the listing, GT40 #P1108 started life as Mk1 car that was built from factory spares in 1969 and was first sold in 1971. However, the auction is somewhat confusing. According to an image in its gallery, the vehicle was actually built from one of the seven spare Mk3 tubs when production of the iconic racers ended.
This GT40 was never built as a racecar - it lived on the streets its whole life. After assembly finished, it was sent to Germany and was eventually registered for the road. The first owner kept the car until 2005 and sold it with 7,300 miles on the odometer. The current owner bought it in 2012.
