2004 Ford Ranger Xl Standard Cab Pickup 2-door 2.3l 25mpg No Reserve!!! on 2040-cars
Central, South Carolina, United States
Up for sale is this 2004 Ford Ranger XL Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door 2.3L/Automatic. I have had this truck for 1 year now and put about 10,000 miles on it, it would be a great first truck for anyone and gets amazing gas mileage at 25 miles per gallon. I have the clear title in hand and it is a South Carolina title. I bought a new F250 and selling this truck will allow me to put some goodies on it so it has to go.
It has a brand new vinyl floor from ACC (Auto Custom Carpets) and also a brand new rear window. I also painted the wheels and bumpers black. I have also added HID headlights as the factory lights were not bright at all. The only things wrong with the truck is the body is about a 6 on a 10 scale, it does have some dents and dings in the body and the driver seat has a couple tears (see pictures). Also the transmission leaks a small amount of fluid and shifts a little hard in 3rd gear but I will say I have driven it for 10,000 miles and it hasn't gotten worse. As long as you keep the correct amount of fluid in the transmission it actually shifts fine. This is a NO RESERVE auction meaning it will sell no matter what and the top bidder gets the truck!!! Happy Bidding!!! |

Ford will probably never offer two RS models at the same time
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Autocar has some sour news for fans of go-fast Ford products. According to Roelant de Waard, Ford's president of marketing in Europe, the automaker will probably never offer more than one RS performance model for sale at the same time. That statement runs contrary earlier rumblings that suggested Ford would launch its next-generation Focus RS in 2015 and follow the hatch with a spate of other vehicles with an RS badge. But de Waard has made it clear that Ford of Europe is now focused on squarely on the next Mustang, even though there may be more RS models on the way eventually.
"What is clear is that the RS shouldn't be a series, or a car badge that we have in our portfolio all the time. It is an extreme car - something more than ST," he said.
That philosophy makes plenty of sense. We loved the old Focus RS - shown above in RS500 trim - because it was generally bonkers and plenty exclusive. Diluting either aspect is sure to end in disappointment for everyone involved.
Ford making Fusion production moves to challenge Camry on volume
Mon, 26 Aug 2013The Ford Fusion may already beat the Toyota Camry in terms of models offered, transaction price and sales increase so far this year, but if the Fusion wants to make a run at the title of best-selling car in the US, Bloomberg reminds us that volume is key. Opening a second production line at the Flat Rock, MI assembly plant will reportedly allow Ford to produce around 350,000 Fusions annually, which compares Toyota's ability to crank out 475,000 Camrys and Honda's capacity to build around 450,000 Accords.
For the Fusion, that's an extra 100,000 units compared to the car's current pace, and the article adds that the Fusion is "Ford's best shot" to regain the passenger car sales crown - a title it (or any other US automaker, for that matter) hasn't held since the mid-1990s. Despite hiccups with recalls and fuel economy numbers, the Ford Fusion is still red hot when it comes to sales. Fusion sales are up 13 percent so far this year (compared to a 0.6 percent decrease for Camry), and its average transaction price of $26,343 is about $2,300 more than its rival from Toyota.
The Fusion's popularity has helped Ford improve its sales in California; the Dearborn-based automaker has a market share of 18 percent in the state, which is just a fraction of a percentage behind Honda. And this popularity should continue as Ford ups Fusion production and expands the model lineup even further for 2014 with a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine soon to become an option.
