Classic 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 4 cylinder manual transmission for sale by original owner, 165837 miles.

The truck runs but the clutch needs to be replaced. If you can replace it the rest of the truck works well. If not this is an excellent part truck.

It has not been used a lot in the past few years. I have made a number of updates and compared to the miles I would consider them 'recent'.

The good:
- Fires right up!
- Complete brake job last year including hoses, fluid, calipers and drums with less than 5K miles wear
- Good tread left on Tires (full size spare)
- Replaced Windshield (no cracks)
- Replaced Fuel Pump
- Replaced Alternator (rebuilt)
- Replaced Starter (rebuilt)
- Replaced ECU
- Replaced Plugs and Wires
- Replaced Muffler
- Replaced Catalytic converter
- Beadliner
- Manual Moon Roof
- Replaced radio (JVC MP3 / external input)
- Clymers repair manual available
- Clean title
- 6 disk Kenwood CD player included (not connected, but may still work)
- 60/40 seat
- as the original owner I have the entire repair history and most receipts.

The bad:
- No parking brake (never used it with a manual transmission)
- Left rear panel has a nice dent
- Right passenger window crank needs repair
- Some rust in small patches on body, cab has a small rust hole through the floor
- No A/C or power locks.

The ugly:
- The clutch, last time replaced at 70K miles. It can be driven but I would highly recommend you tow it home until you get to know her. I have tow chains and will include them if needed.

Ford Mustang GT350 seen and heard in motion for the first time

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

We just recently saw our first spy shots of the next-gen hi-po Ford Mustang slated to replace the Shelby GT500, but now we're getting our first look - and listen - of prototypes captured on video. Mustang6g.com has the video (along with some different spy shots), which show that, if nothing else, SVT knows how to tune an exhaust system. The :50 mark is a good example of this, but fast-forward to around 2:00 where the driver revs the engine and really gets on the throttle hard taking off from a stop.
There's still no definitive evidence that the next-gen SVT Mustang - said to be called GT350 - will be naturally aspirated, but it sounds just as menacing as the current Shelby GT500. While the video posted below exhibits the sort of quality that is to be expected from someone driving while trying to film someone who is attempting to elude being filmed, it's still exciting to see and hear this new Mustang in motion.

Ford Fiesta becomes UK all-time best seller

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

We may regard Ford as an American automaker, but ask a Brit and they may tell you otherwise. The Blue Oval has, after all, been selling cars in the UK since 1903, and started manufacturing there as far back as 1911 when it began local production of the Model T in Manchester. Last year Ford ended 100 years of vehicle manufacturing in the UK when the last Transit van rolled off the assembly line in Southampton, but it's still the biggest-selling automotive marque in Britain.
Ford has led the British market for 34 out of the past 45 years, selling more Fiestas than any other company sells any other car in the UK since 2009... when it overtook the Focus. In fact the Fiesta has now become the best-selling car in British history, topping 4,115,000 units since its introduction in 1976. The previous record was held by - you guessed it - another Ford: the Escort sold 4,105,961 units over the course of its 32 years on the British market.
Although the Fiesta is no longer manufactured in the UK (previous versions having been built at Dagenham until 2002), engines are: the EcoBoost line was developed at the company's R&D center in Essex and are built at the factory in Dunton, while its diesel engines were developed at Dagenham in East London. Even the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine in the Fiesta ST is built in South Wales.

Alan Mulally talks about why Ford's Falcon had to die

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

When Ford made the decision to end production of the Falcon sedan and Territory CUV in Australia, it wasn't a popular move Down Under. The large, four-door Falcon had been in production for 50 years, and while Ford has reaffirmed its commitment to the Australian market, it's understandable that some people still aren't all that crazy about the Blue Oval's decision.
Speaking to CEO Alan Mulally after Ford's Go Further event in Sydney, Australian site Go Auto reports that the decision was not one made lightly, and that the automaker is doing everything possible to respect the Falcon and Territory's "stakeholders." It's an interesting piece that shows a softer side of a corporation, while demonstrating that Ford is doing everything in its power to make the end of production as smooth as possible for all parties.
Head over to Go Auto for the full series of remarks from Mulally, and then let us know what you think of Ford's handling of the Falcon and Territory discontinuations, in Comments.
