Car is in good overall condition with 113k miles

Interior is black leather in REALLY good condition with no tears and power sunroof. The vehicle has never been smoked in or anything else.. it is very clean & smells fresh.

Exterior has few MINOR door dings (the kind that there is just a small ding without any paint missing)

Has aftermarket pioneer cd player with in dash USB for ipod or mp3 /phone iphone hookup & wiring for subs in the back, all interior speakers have been replaced with MTX brand speakers (sounds good), it has 20% tint all around, HID headlights and HID foglights,

Tires are newer.. maybe 5k miles on them

It runs & drives extremely well & handles well in the snow! It really is a classy looking vehicle!!

There is no mechanical issues to my knowledge other than sometimes there was sort of a strange noise I would hear only occasionally while driving & I was told it could be just a regular noise since the car does not show any issues and drives fine.. or, it is possible it is a torque converter which I have researched & find the cost between $400-$600.

Either way, the vehicle is running well & has never shown any reason for me to think that it would not be dependable.

You can have confidence buying from a trusted seller! I have sold my other vehicle using Ebay in the past & as you will see in my feedback, the buyer was more than happy with the purchase- He actually flew in from another state & drove it home!

There are shipping options available from between $200-$900 depending on where you are located & what method of shipment you arrange, you can even arrange for it to be delivered right to your driveway & those prices are honestly much more reasonable than I expected. I suggest getting a few quotes & you may be surprised!

In case you are interested in flying in to pick it up- I am located about 1 hour & 13 mins from Ohare international airport in Chicago. There is a shuttle bus that runs nearly on the hour that will bring you to my city for around $20.00. I can meet you there with the vehicle & paperwork & you can be on your way!

Or, if you are near by- You are more than welcome to come & inspect the vehicle prior to & upon purchase.

I do have the title in my posession & it is ready to be signed over upon payment.

I am not offering any sort of guarantee or warranty of any kind for this vehicle. However, Ebay does offer Vehicle purchase protection & if you qualify that can cover up to the purchase price of the vehicle.. I don't know a whole lot about that so I suggest you research it, if it is something that you would be interested knowing more about. Personally, for that reason alone - I would be much more comfortable purchasing a privately owned vehicle on ebay than in a newspaper or internet ad.

Clean retail using kbb and Nada is: $7600-$8500.00 even POOR condition is more than what I am asking & this vehicle is most certainly not in poor condition. It is in very nice condition.

I am selling it cheap due to needing to sell fast for personal reasons, absolutely nothing to do with the vehicle. I wish I could keep it & am sad to see it go. For that reason, I am open to offers to make this a quick sale. In this situation the old phrase "my loss is your gain" is VERY true, if I didn't have other unforseen financial obligations to take care of FAST- this would not be for sale.

Please send me any offer that you think is REASONABLE & I will consider it.

$500 NON REFUNDABLE deposit required by paypal to hold vehicle & CASH due upon purchase

Ask ask any questions before buying, I can be reached nearly 24 hours a day with questions as they come directly to my phone!

If there are any additional pictures you would like to see or possibly even video I would be more than happy to provide them to you upon request!!

Ford sells 7-millionth Explorer in America

Mon, 17 Nov 2014

Say what you will about the evolution of the Ford Explorer, from roofed Ranger to body-on-frame sport utility vehicle to unibody crossover - the bottom line is that it's been a tremendously successful model for Ford. In fact, the Blue Oval automaker has sold seven million Explorer models in the United States alone.
The milestone, marked nearly a quarter-century after the introduction of the original in 1990, comes on the eve of the introduction of a new Explorer at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. We don't yet know how the new Explorer will shape up, but we're mere days away from finding out.
Now heading into its sixth generation, the Explorer has formed the basis of Ford's utility lineup for over two decades. The Explorer landed on the market right around the time that the Bronco was trailing off, predating the company's expansion into larger SUVs like the Expedition and Excursion and crossovers like the Escape, Edge and Flex.

Ford brings FPV Falcon production in house [w/video]

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

For the first time since 1976, Ford of Australia is bringing the assembly of its stonking Ford Performance Vehicle line back in-house to the company's Broadmeadows and Geelong facilities. That's a point of pride for FPV, which builds high-performance versions of the Australian Falcon model like the F6, GS and the heroic GT seen here.
In the video below, we hear FPV employees talking in hushed tones about the important legacy that cars like the GT have for Australian gearheads of all stripes, and how proud they are to say that hand-built machines like this GT R-Spec with its Boss 355 engine are now rolling out of their home base. For our part, we're just dying to drive this version of the Coyote V8; the engine is rocking a "Miami" supercharger from Harrop and makes some 450 horsepower.
Continue on below for the video, or you can check out some images of the new FPV at the facility, as well as a gallery of the GT R-Spec car.

Which is more fuel efficient, driving with a pickup's tailgate up or down?

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Thanks to the smoke wand in the wind tunnel, you can actually see the difference in our video.
Should you drive with your pickup truck's tailgate up or down? It's an age-old controversy that's divided drivers for decades. Traditionalists will swear you should leave the tailgate down. Makes sense, right? It would seem to let the air flow more cleanly over the body and through the bed. But there's also a school of thought that argues trucks are designed to look and operate in a specific manner, and modern design techniques can help channel the airflow properly. So don't mess with all of that: Leave the tailgate up.
