I am selling this vehicle for a friend. All parts on the car are original to it except for the battery. The car has an a 6 volt electric fuel pump. The car was repainted in 2003 and was stripped to bare metal at that time. The engine was pulled and repainted and the engine compartment was detailed then. The front and rear bumpers were re-chromed as well. The vehicle has power steering and brakes. The original black canvas convertible top needs replacing as it has shrank and has been torn. All glass is in good condition. The interior has minor wrinkling on the drivers seat bottom, the door panels have some warping at the bottoms and scratching on the engine turned areas. The radiator was rodded out when the paint and body were done, and the gas tank was boiled out and sealed at the same time. This car is in nice driver condition. The paint still looks good. The interior is nice for something done almost 60 years ago, and the car runs and drives well. The tires are 670-15 Allstate Bias Ply's. If you have any questions you can E-Mail me through E-Bay. FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.

The reporter headed to Dearborn, MI to Ford's assembly plant, with a film crew in tow, to see exactly how his new F-150 SVT Raptor and its mother-loving 6.2-liter V8 engine, was screwed together.
The resulting video does an excellent job of summing up how an assemblage of parts and pieces is turned into a triple-black Raptor, thanks to the work of some 1,000 employees and about 20 hours of real time. Leno talks racing with NASCAR racer Joey Logano

This time, Jay takes a break from his usual format (something he's been doing with some frequency as of late) and goes back to his roots as a talk show host. There's no classic in the garage his episode with an interesting story to tell and a sumptuous exhaust note. Instead, the focus is purely on interviewing 23-year-old NASCAR racer Joey Logano about what it's like to be a racecar driver in his Ford Fusion.
Logano started racing at the tender age of six and has risen up the circle-track ranks to the big show of the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The two of them talk about what it's like to compete in the sport today compared to yesteryear, and Logano shares some racing anecdotes. Of course, they also get into what it's like to be on the racetrack controlling a car with about 850 horsepower, a four-speed manual transmission and brakes without any power boost.
