1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe in original factory condition, with 34,800 original miles in excellent silver paint with no dings, dents, scratches or rust. Black, charcoal and gray cloth interior in excellent condition with premium sound and Ford graphic equalizer and cassette player (really 1980's). Vehicle has manual ride control that also adjusts automatically when Turbo kicks in. Reg. or Prem. fuel selection for preference and performance. 4 wheel antilock disc brakes for stopping power. 5spd transmission with rear wheel drive that gives excellent driving feel. Vehicle has a factory sunroof, factory wheels, undercoated and gets 27 highway MPG. A quick car that handles extremely well and has been adult driven and never abused. I purchased the car for my wife after she put her '06 elantra in a ditch but it is too much car for her and I purchased a Honda Civic for her. I also own a '76 vette so too many toys and no room in garage so something must go. Excellent dependable, daily driver or a car for shows, cruise ins and car club functions. Draws attention wherever it goes and at 26 years of age eligible for antique car insurance. Rare T'bird that runs great, drives great, looks sharp, presents nicely and is ready to go anywhere.

First retail 2015 Ford Mustang headed to Barrett-Jackson
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Want to be the very first person to own a 2015 Ford Mustang GT? Here's what you'll need to do: be in Scottsdale, AZ on January 18 for the Barrett-Jackson auction and bring a very big checkbook. Having a passion for charity isn't a bad idea either.
Yes, the first 2015 Mustang to be sold to the public will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, with proceeds from the auction going to JDRF, the charity formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
"Ford Mustangs have always been among the most popular collector cars at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car events," said the president of Barrett-Jackson, Steve Davis. "While every collector wishes they had snapped up the first Mustang sold in 1964, this is an opportunity to realize that dream in a different way."
Ford Focus ST, Fiesta ST buyers to get free Octane Academy driving school
Thu, 01 Aug 2013The Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST have created plenty of excitement in the sport compact segment, and Ford is looking to make sure that owners are driving and enjoying their cars to the best of their abilities. As an added bonus for buying one of these sporty hatchbacks, Ford will provide a complimentary ST Octane Academy session to be held at the Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
Attendees will be responsible for travel and lodging, but Ford will provide the driving school free of charge. Included in this two-day trip, ST owners will get class instruction and driving instruction in prepped Focus ST and Fiesta ST models on the track and autocross course. Some karting action will also be involved as will a tour of Ken Block's Hoonigan Racing headquarters located nearby. If this doesn't sound like enough fun, there is also an optional day of activities that includes some more track time in a Mustang GT and off-road instruction in an F-150 SVT Raptor.
Ford told us that those who have already purchased a Focus ST or Fiesta ST will still be able to attend the performance driving school, but the press release, which is posted below, makes it sound like it applies to original owners only. Ford has yet to announce its schedule for the ST Octane Academy or prices for additional activities or guests.

For example, you're unlikely to see a modded Corvette going rock crawling; it's just not what it's made for (though we bet it'd look awesome, for a minute). In the same way, chopped, channeled and customized '50s hot rods aren't really meant to go racing. They look great and go fast, but they are generally more cruisers than sports cars.
However, if this video is any indication, the people of Finland don't adhere in these stereotypes, because this rodder is happy to play in the dirt with his lead sled.
According to the video, the driver is a member of the Ford-Freak Club of Finland, and he clearly knows how to have some fun. Possibly inspired by his country's great rally drivers, he gets the tail way out going around this gently curving gravel track. The stunt is somewhat reminiscent of the stock cars races on the sand at Daytona Beach, and this is probably close to what it sounded like too.
