The boot, hardtop Stand and cover for hardtop, and other accessories are still in the manufacturers plastic bags in the trunk. I have the original window sticker and the original bill of sale! I have compiled a notebook of pictures and documentation that will be invaluable to a collector. This car will only get more valuable in the future! The first 2 pictures were taken when the car was new, but all others are current pictures.

A Short History:
This car is a representation of the 2002 Thunderbird  that appeared briefly in the anniversary Bond movie "Die Another Day" starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond and Halle Berry as Jinx.  Halle was the driver of the Thunderbird in the movie.   The movie premiered in the USA on November 22, 2002.   It's reported that the original car was offered to Halle but she turned it down opting instead for an Evening Black 2002.   Wonder what happened to the original?  The car in the movie had a coral top instead of the white top offered with the special edition and was a 2002, not the 2003 that the edition comes as.

Known facts now that the model is out of the factory:  Ford had a sweepstakes for an 007 to go along with the opening of the "Die Another Day" movie.  It ended December 2002.  The first cars were officially  "bucked" right after Christmas and started appearing in dealer's showrooms by mid January, 2003.  Production of the 007 ended sometime in March.  All 700 were built and some were prepped early for shows in Europe. It is believed that 694 were sold and 6 used for shows.

This limited editon features chrome 21-spoke wheels just like the Neiman Marcus editions had for 2002.  The seats are a solid "performance white" colored leather.  The doors are trimmed with white "wings" and the lower part of the dash is white. There is a "007" badge on the metal trim across the dash above the glove box.  The hardtop color is "performance white."  The steering wheel and shift knob are covered with "black ink" leather, a departure from the other "full accent" interiors.  The transmission has the select shift automatic (an 03 option) and the 3.9L, 280hp engine which is standard for the 2003.  Each 007 car has their own special plaque in the glove box, serializd from 001 to 700.

 MSRP was $43,995

This car is also known as the James Bond Special Edition or Bond Girl Special Edition, or identified with the actress Halle Berry.

Ford bringing production F-150 to Detroit with Atlas styling and Alcoa blast shields

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

According to a report in Bloomberg, the 2015 Ford F-150 will indeed be showing up at the Detroit Auto Show next month. It will bring attitude with it, not only in the form of sheetmetal inspired by the Atlas concept (pictured) that appeared at the 2013 Detroit show but also in the Alcoa military blast shields among the display being used to showcase the ruggedness of aluminum.
There's been a lot of talk about the F-150 switching to aluminum body panels (although maintaining a steel frame), and for good reason. The lightweight body is expected to shed more than 700 pounds and greatly increase its highway mileage, but production-line issues and possible delays have been a major focus of attention concerning the best-selling vehicle in America for 32 years, meaning Ford has to get it right. F-150 is responsible for a massive portion of the company's global profits and it will come in a year when company profits are already predicted to decline because of new car launches.
When it comes to dings, the Bloomberg story says Ford wants Alcoa to supply some of the military-grade aluminum it uses for blast shields on battlefield vehicles to help it talk up the toughness of aluminum. Reading commentary on the many stories about the F-150 reveals there are many more little questions about the aluminum overhaul, like "How much will it cost to repair and insure?" and "How will companies hang their magnetic signs?" Answers should start coming in a couple of weeks.

Ford Fiesta ST orders off to strong start

Fri, 17 May 2013

We at Autoblog love the new little Ford Fiesta ST, and apparently, folks in Europe are pretty impressed with it, as well. According to Ford, the automaker's European arm has already logged 3,000 orders for the new hot hatch since it hit dealerships this March. The US-spec car, which will only be available as a five-door, will go on sale in the United States this summer.
What's perhaps most interesting about the Fiesta ST ordering is that the majority of customers appear to be ordering high-spec cars. According to Ford data, 60 percent of customers have opted for the leather interior with Recaro buckets, and 90 percent have selected the upgraded 17-inch wheels (seen on our test car, above). Spirit Blue has been the most popular color, commanding 27 percent of all orders. As for the technology upgrades, 19 percent of customers have ponied up for the Sony stereo with navigation.
To recap, the Fiesta ST is offered with Ford's 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, putting out 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. We had an absolute blast flinging the hot Fiesta through the French Alps, and we can't wait for this sharp little hatch to make its way over to the States.

2015 Ford F-150 brings big aluminum to the Rust Belt [w/video]

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

Just when you thought you'd figured the fullsize truck market out, Ford goes and throws us a massive curve ball with the 2015 F-150. The big headline news aren't tow or payload ratings, though we're sure those figures will be fully competitive if not class leading, they haven't yet been announced. Instead, the big headline news Ford is highlighting are the truck's new aluminum-intensive structure and 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.
And with good reason - all that aluminum means that Ford was able to cut a massive 700 pounds from the truck's curb weight. That is going to cause all sorts of great things to happen to the 2015 F-150's driving dynamics, performance and fuel efficiency, not to mention its ability to haul heavy loads. For those customers worried about the strength of aluminum versus the more conventional steel, Ford is quick to point out that many military vehicles, such as the HMMWV and Bradley Fighting Vehicle, use a very similar sort of aluminum alloy in their construction.
It's also worth mentioning that the backbone, a fully boxed ladder frame, is hewn from high-strength steel. Ford says "2015 Ford F-150 is the strongest and most durable F-150 ever," for what it's worth, claiming that "torture tested" in labs and in the real world for more than 10 million miles. What's more, the truck, in disguised form, completed all 883 miles of the Baja 1000.
