Purchased new in Gresham Oregon at Mc Robert Ford on August 15th, 1969. Only 4 owners and has always been here in the Pacific Northwest. Lots of original documentation will be provided. 44,000 actual miles. Purchased by the first owner as an amateur track-day drag car but used very little. This car has hibernated untouched in the garage almost it's entire life. Factory color was Indian Fire (burnt orange), paint code Y which even Ford lovers will say was an awful color. Thankfully, she was repainted Black in the 1970's and that paint is still on the car today. Always kept in-doors. No rust issues of any kind. Undersides and trunk are outstanding. Interior is excellent. All drivetrain components are dialed in perfectly. Date codes will be provided below. Each and every owner of the car has known exactly what it is. In all of her 44 years she has NEVER been daily transportation. Always appreciated and respected as the true Muscle Car she is. That's the short version of the story. I will also make a few specific comments under certain pictures throughout the photo display. All of my eBay experiences have been enjoyable over the years as I've sold members of my collection. I'm grateful for the kind words and compliments I've received. My opinions have guided me well and I stand behind them but please keep in mind that these are my personal opinions and observations and they may differ from your own. I welcome showing my SCJ Torino in person to anyone with genuine interest. I live very near the Portland Oregon Airport and would gladly pick you up. Each photo shows the car clearly and accurately from as many angles as I could think of. It is my intention to make this as close to you seeing and touching the car for yourself as possible. NO RESERVE AUCTION

I did not set a reserve price on my Torino. All that I ask in return is for your bids to be real and your intent to purchase be sincere. I took every picture you're about to see in my driveway at home one week before this auction started. No photo has been altered or enhanced in any way. This is my car and these pictures are true to her in-person appearance. Thanks for your time, DAVE      

 Body and paint are in very nice condition. All panels have excellent fit, gaps and alignment. As mentioned in the first paragraph above, the car was repainted in about 1978. The Black lacquer holds a high shine and gloss. I have discovered no evidence or abuses of bondo or other body fillers. Under close scrutiny, there is some light lacquer-checking in a few isolated areas. These blemishes are only visible on close inspection but deserved to be mentioned. The car is gorgeous and clear reflections can be seen in the finish. All exterior chrome and stainless moldings are excellent. All factory original CarLite glass is still in-place and in very good shape. The car shows and presents extremely well. She is more than worthy of every compliment she receives and many of them come from educated Ford experts. Simply a beautiful car from every angle. 
 PLEASE NOTE: I did install the correct Ford distributor since I took these photos last week. I will include this Mallory unit as well. Generally in correct configuration with a few upgrades. The aluminum intake is an original Police Interceptor with C7AE 9425-F casting. This is an authentic vintage performance upgrade, not a reproduction piece. I also have the original cast-iron intake manifold available which can be discussed by me and the next owner. The carburetor is also a factory correct unit but date stamped 1970. Engine was gone through in 1984 (records provided). Less than a 1000 miles traveled in that time. You can still eat off the internals of the motor. I have personally inspected inside the valve covers and oil pan. My Torino was built in January of 1969. Real Super Cobra-Jet with correct crank and large harmonic balancer. Block casting is 8M7 for December 7th, 1968. VIN is on left rear of block. Heads are 8L8 for November 8th, 1968 and 8G22 for July 22nd, 1968. These are correct. At time of assembly, Ford simply pulled the appropriate heads from the shelf regardless of exact date codes. The motor performs perfectly! 170-175lbs of compression in each cylinder. Absolutely NO blow-by. Wonderful oil pressure at all times. Starts easily warm or cold and has crisp throttle response and acceleration. I just had a well respected Ford Big-Block FE engine specialist with over 45 years experience go over all of the mechanicals to re-verify authenticity and condition. She is mechanically top-knotch. Just turn the key.

 Original assembly line Build Sheet. It has faded over the years and some codes are difficult to read but everything is documented.
 The interior is outstanding with some updates over the years. The original dash pad is mint. Door panels, headliner, carpet, etc, is all excellent. 
 
 All windows roll up and down with 2 fingers.
 A few tiny, tiny imperfections in the original CarLite 44 year old windshield but one of many things that support the low mileage claim. It is crystal clear.

 Yes, they work.
 Originally, the car had raised white letter 14 inch tires. The Goodyear redlines were installed over 15 years ago. Just personal preference.

 Looking down the sides is impressive. The car is extremely straight.
 Even the lower rear quarters are gorgeous.
 
 
 In the 1970's when the car was repainted, people weren't as concerned with originality as they are today. Nevertheless, everyone agrees that the car is stunning in Black and a HUGE improvement over the ugly burnt orange.
 
 Please notice the light lacquer-checking in the paint near the rear view mirror. Amazing condition for almost 40 year old lacquer paint but some age related flaws can be seen only on close-inspection.

 The typical area that get corrosion on these cars are spectacular on mine. There is no exception for low mileage, mild climate and a garage-kept life.
 
 Again, I have installed the correct Ford distributor. I also have a more authentic battery if you prefer. Due to how long the car sits ignored, I purchased a deep cycle battery. There is also a trickle-charger/battery tender neatly hidden to keep the battery up.
 
 Headers were installed years ago. Correct exhaust manifolds are easy to find if that be your desire.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Both shock towers and all inner structures are perfect! 
 Original, day-one, factory installed oil cooler. These are almost always missing and very hard to locate.
 All original wiring is excellent and I find no evidence of previous collision damage even here in the front.
 
 
 
 
 PLEASE NOTICE the 4 nuts and bolts on each side. For the first few years of her life there was a roll bar installed in order to be legal for the strip.
 
 Factory DISC brakes. If you look closely at many of the underside photos you'll see lots of cobwebs and little spider egg sacks. I removed most of them during the photo process. Again, this car has sat in a climate controlled garage at all times.
 
 
 Rocker panels, etc, are outstanding. The undercarriage of the car is beautiful and 100% rock-solid.
 
 Correct rear differential. Traction-lok, true POSI. A set of 3.50 gears were installed to make the car more user-friendly. 4.30 gears are also included.
 Backsides of quarters are excellent.
 
 
 
 Correct, cast-iron tail shaft heavy duty C-6 transmission. 
 Holman-Moody 9 quart oil pan.
 
 
 The glare made the VIN difficult to read. It is 9R46R130627
 
 
 As we all know, ALL Ford FE blocks were stamped with 352.
 In person, the build sheet is much easier to read. Engine tag number is 428S
 
 Please note- This car does, in fact, have the Drag-Pack option. However, Ford did not use the term "Drag-Pack" until February 20th of 1969. My Torino was produced in January. See above report.

 Should you chose to go back to exhaust manifolds, I have many of needed pieces.
 Yes, I am including this very RARE factory gauge cluster with tachometer. These are impossible to find.

I am happy to be an active and hands-on part of this entire process from start to finish but the buyer is ultimately responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle and any pre-purchase inspections need to be done BEFORE auction ending. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, I will gladly assist in loading and be present for the transport condition form and other reasonable help. Locating a transporter is the buyers responsibility but I can make recommendations and share the relationships I've built. Vehicle transport has become very reasonable. I personally use a privately dispatched trucking company. They have handled my transport needs perfectly for the last several years with careful handling, excellent rates and fast service even all the way to the East Coast. These horribly misguided front-drive design studies nearly became the Mustang

As we eagerly await the unveiling of the all-new sixth-generation Mustang, Ford has been giving us some great information over the past few months showing what has gone into shaping its venerable pony car. As many changes as the Mustang has gone through in its 50 years, though, it appears the fourth-gen model played a decisive and pivotal role in the car's future.
As is part of Mustang lore, the front-wheel drive Ford Probe was originally developed as a next-generation Mustang in the Eighties before cooler heads prevailed. The Blue Oval has just released a handful of images showing how bad things could have been - including a full-scale clay model of a front-wheel-drive Mustang (shown above). Fortunately, the FWD Mustang plan was scrapped and Ford went to work designing a rear-wheel-drive replacement for the Fox Body Mustang, with three design studies making it far enough to become full-scale models. These include the soft "Bruce Jenner" Mustang, the over-the-top "Rambo" Mustang and the middle-ground "Arnold Schwarzenegger" Mustang, which finally became the basis for the 1994 'Stang.
By early 1991, the design language of the fourth-generation Mustang had been worked out, and the rest, they say, is history. Forza Horizon announces January Recaro Car Pack with LFA N"urburgring Edition

Another month, another car pack for Forza Horizon. This time it's the Recaro Car Pack featuring a motley gang of cars and trucks: the 1983 GMC Vandura G-1500, 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R, 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV, 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR, 2012 Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition and 2012 Lotus Exige S.
It'll be up for download on Xbox Live on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 for 400 MS Points. As usual, if you have the Forza Horizon Season Pass you can get them all free, and Season Pass holders will also get a bonus car that's not pictured: the 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.

Ford posts decade-best $2.1B profit in Q1 2013

As predicted, Ford has reported that its first quarter of 2013 was a resounding success overall, with a pretax profit of $2.1 billion ($0.41 per share), and a net income of $1.6 billion ($0.40 per share). In fact, Ford made a pretax profit of some $2.4 billion in its home North American market, with that total number being pulled down by losses in South America and Europe. That gaudy North American profit is the strongest result by the automaker since 2000.
Ford's companywide profit for Q1 was down $147 million from one year ago, while the net income number marked an increase of $215 million year over year. Overall, this is Ford's 15th-consecutive profitable quarter.
The bad news from the European market was even worst in Q1 2013 than it was last year. Pretax losses of $462 million - on revenue of $6.7 billion - represented a year-over-year change of -$313 million. In South American, the company reported a loss of $218 million, down from a slim profit of $54 million in Q1 2012. The news was better for Ford Asia Pacific Africa, where a $6 million pretax profit in 2013 showed a year-over-year gain of some $101 million when compared to losses in 2012.
